quote: Over at the land called Survivor, don’t you think mixing the fans and favorites next week is too soon?
No. In fact, it would be interesting to mix the tribes again in two weeks after that. Keep the players on their toes. this has been a good season, but the Fans tribe is NOT the dumbest (but close). There was another tribe recenlty that was just horrible, but I forget which edition that was.

The alliances are SO ENTRENCHED that this is probably a good move or else it will become another by rote Pagonging of the lesser number alliances.

Marc, you said that Eli Stone finished first in the demo but show WAT with a higher demo number -- which one is it? quote: CBS was the most-watched network at 10 p.m. care of a repeat of Without a Trace, while ABC’s Eli Stone was first among adults 18-49. But retention of only 50 percent in the demo out of Lost still lands Eli Stone in the loser’s listing. Take a look:
Thursday 10 p.m. Without a Trace R (CBS) Viewers: 10.36 million (#1), A18-49: 3.3/ 9 (#1)
Eli Stone (ABC) Viewers: 7.46 million (#2), A18-49: 2.7/ 7 (#1)

I watched DFTL for the first time last night, and I was really getting into it, then I had to leave and miss the last 10 minutes, for anyone who watched, did she go all the way or did she lose?.... One other things, most of those songs played last night, ai have been singing wrong for years...lol

You're entitled to your opinion of course but I am just curious... how do you figure?

That is true about the TIVO/DVR ratings...I know alot of people that do DVR lost...plus it does not help that AI takes up thursdays.
I also read that they got a 7.8 better then last week's 7.7

What are the correct 18-49 numbers for these two shows? The commentary does not match the data.

Don't worry..LOST is one of ABC's signature shows. It's not going anywhere and I fully expect it to play out its remaining seasons.

New multi-network rating data that seems to be season averages shows a huge lift for Lost in DVR viewers. Lost had the third largest total DVR contribution beating out shows like House, Grey's Anatomy, and CSI.
Of the total views a week after air date (around 17.7 Million counting DVRs), 18% of the audience tivo'd the show. This works out to an average of around 3 million new viewers
1. Lost only beat CSI and Grey's because they were in REPEATS. Comparing premiere to premiere, Lost had lower DVR numbers than Grey's, CSI, Heroes, and House (maybe others, but I know those for sure). 2. It didn't get 3 million new viewers. The live+SD results were 16.1 million, so if the Live+7 results were 17.7, it only gained 1.6 million.

Not to mention it still won the demo despite an AI lead in benefited 9pm hour at Fox.

GA and Lost may be two different shows, but I do believe that Lost will get a nice bump with a great lead in

That 3 million number is growth from the LIVE viewing only. Not the commonly reported Live + Same Day ratings. Here are the number that reference the Live + SD ratings Here are the Live +7 Numbers for Lost's Premiere on Jan 31
Lost's Live + Same day was 16.14 add 1.63 million for the Time Shift Audiance Grand 7 day total is 17.77m

AI viewers made a terrible mistake by not voting for Alaina Whitaker, whose heartbreaking rendition of "Hopelessly devoted to you" was even more appropriate as she was voted off. Shame on Simon Cowell for saying she was old fashnioned -- I know he says things to keep the show interesting, but sometimes he goes overboard and his comments cost a solid singer a spot in the final 12. It's decisions like this that don't make me a regular AI fan -- hopefully others will likewise abandon the show after last night as I will do.
