Yeesh! This strike is going to be tough on ABC. A .9 for MIT and 1.2 for WMC?

Which isn't saying much when MIT gets 1.6 and WMC gets 1.8 on first run episodes. If I were ABC, i'd either bring back TGIFridays with Hannah Montana, Suit Life of Zack and Cody, That's So Raven, ect. or make it movie night. It couldn't do any worse than MIT and WMC and probably a whole lot cheaper to produce.

Thanks Marc, and happy hollidays to all.

ML continues to underperform, without being a complete failure.

Yeah. It dropped almost 2 million viewers. But that is ML in a nutshell: 8.5 million viewers and a 2.4 demo. That's as good as it will get. Same with WMC: 9 million viewers and a 1.8 demo. The bigger question is will these numbers be good enough for CBS and ABC? I doubt it but Les has gone on record as saying ML will be back next year. WMC's back nine hasn't been picked up yet. I don't think it will. MIT is dead in the water and being circled by sharks, vultures and GreenPeace.

This strike is going to kill a lot of borderline shows. TV viewers are creatures of habit and if they find something else to pass their time instead of watching reruns or Reality TV, they won't come back to the networks. Then both writers and the networks lose. Movie actors, writers and studios? Not so much. Get 'er done, fellas.

Thanks for the numbers Marc.

I think Moonlight at 9PM is a typo. It doesn't equal the CBS average for the night. It looks like they are the same as GW's 8PM numbers.

The 9 p.m. half hour was wrong and I fixed. Thanks for catching that, Red.

The Final Showdown! for all networks have begun in the Programming Arena. Visit each networks' forum for the final pairing. Some very interesting matchups.

Moonlight is very steady in the ratings. Even after 3 weeks break. That is clearly a good thing for Moonlight and CBS

Moonlight's numbers have been pretty darned consistant, though certainly not stellar. The question is are they good enough for CBS? Despite Moonves semi-recent statement about the show, there still is yet to be an official announcement regarding a 2nd season if I'm not mistaken. Things can always change in the world of broadcasting ... and change quickly.

I hope it gets the go ahead as I'm finding it more and more interesting as the story delves further into the past histories of the characters.

Not surprised to see the last half hour of ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE got the most viewers in the three hour affair.

The trip to the Alternate Bedford Falls and the town saving the day at the end really is the best part of the movie...gee I hope I didn't give that away to anyone Smiler

Great movie...one of the all time bests with a great message at the end.

CBS is still ranking in after 3weeks of not having fresh episodes of its Friday lineup;

Ghost Whisperer a 9.765 with a 2.6/9 share
Moonlight 7.625 with a 2.1/6 share
Numb3rs a 9.665 with a 2.5/8 share

overall CBS averaged a 9.018333333 and a 2.4/8 share.

This is completely off-topic, but if CBS wants another edition of The Amazing Race soon, maybe they can repurpose AXN's The Amazing Race Asia. I downloaded the first season a while ago, and I got just as much enjoyment out of it as the American edition.

Yes Moonlight dipped a bit from Ghost Whisperer, but so what, it's an exceptional program and CBS must renew something in its freshmen crop other than Big Bang Theory, so it will stay.

Those MNT numbers for Men in Trees and Womens Murder Club encores certainly do not bode well for a night of drama encores. I agree with the poster above who said ABC should pinch from ABC Family or Disney networks in reprogramming this night, and move 20/20 to another night where it is needed.

I always like to see theatricals get decent numbers, and It's A Wonderful Life is such a wonderful, deserving picture of the annual double run that NBC gives it.

I'm super-curious as to how that World Magic Awards special did on MyNetworkTV last night. It was entertaining television, and I was regaling my companions at tonights party about some of the extraordinary illusions that were performed (and there was nobody telling you how its done, like in all those Breaking the Magician Code specials).
