Thoughts: Pushing Daisies grew in the demo but dropped viewers at the half hour. Very strange. Kudos to DOND for a monster night and a pretty decent return for Dateline. Kudos to the CBS lineup for a solid performance as well as Kitchen Nightmares thanks to growth out of the lead in. If there was one thing ABC should've learned from last night its that they should not be repeating the new Wednesday shows in the coming months. How about a Wife Swap, Supernanny, and Men in Trees Wednesday lineup?
ANTM numbers are not that good ppl and crowned well those nuimbers are awful and considering the cw gave this show 3 episodes a week with reruns wtf waz the cw thinkin
l'm still a fan thoiugh and lwill be watching come january and the strike begins
Pushing Daisies doing so poorly is not good for ABC. DSM has already dropped below the renewal level and Pushing Daisies is now in danger of joining it. The show is fast paced and a joy to watch. A shame if it doesn't make it to season #2.
Deal or No Deal is really showing some strength. NBC might just be able to ride that horse through the writer's strike.
America's Next Top Model had the lowest season finale numbers it has had in a long time (maybe ever?). The drop in ratings is a direct result of the show's fanbase really unifying behind Heather this season only to see her go home early. Saleisha will make a better talker than Heather, Lisa, or Jenah; but she sure isn't a better overall 'model'. This show really needs to stop giving us winners of the short, ethnic, variety. Naima, Jaslene, and Saliesha never should have made the cast, much less the winners spot.

I'll now admit that Pushing Daisies isn't doing too well. It averaged around 6-7 million viewers, which isn't good at all. Hopefully things will improve when it returns.

Kudos to Kid Nation for beating Pushing Daisies in total viewers (and growing during the second half hour as opposed to shrinking)! A wonderful Season Finale too. Watching those kids grow through this experience was wonderful television treat.
6.85 million for PD, and an average of 2.4/7 18-49. Not great by any stretch of the imagination but not dismal. The positive thing to mention is that it was the sole thing on the network that night that wasn't a rerun. It probably would have done better with a new Private Practice leading out... Assuming the writer's strike isn't settled it's good enough for a second shot next fall, but it depends if ABC has managed to cut the budget down from the first several episodes... I'd say the recent poor numbers for Samantha Who/DirtySexyMoney and the terrible bombing of Cavemen and Carpoolers, Big Shots, Men in Trees and October Road will make ABC less willing to pull the plug, but this coupled with the poor retention out of Shrek the Halls two weeks ago are bad signs.
I think ABC will keep it around because it fits the image they're aiming for and they already sunk a lot of money into it. It's yet to dip to Bionic Woman levels and both were the big hopefuls of each network this fall. It's still a sad day when a positive spin is "It's declining slower than other shows!"...
