And what was leaked of NBC's mid-season schedule is terrible. There's no hope of them getting out of the #4 spot.
Well BW is a shocker for various reasons: it was a highly buzzed show all summer, it opened with great numbers and just a few weeks ago NBC was planning to relaunch it. Why NBC insits on a Knight Rider remake is beyond me

I don't know about Medialife, and what they are reporting, but deadlinehollywooddaily is saying that both sides will meet again on Tuesday and that the writers haven't even received half the offer yet. So there's nothing to reject at this point. I still think it will be over by X-Mas. Look at NBC's January/mid-season leaked schedule. Yes, it is that bad they need to settle. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: Good on SURVIVOR! Even after all these years they still can come up with some outstanding, suspeseful episodes.
I was a big supporter on this board for BIG SHOTS but I found out today there was a new episode on last night that I missed and it didn't even bother me. I found I didn't care any more. I can see the same thing happening to the audience of shows like PUSHING DAISIES and DSM when they dissapear for weeks because of the strike.
Speaking of which I just read on MEDIALIFE site that all the optomism of the strike being settled proved premature and the writers have rejected the latest offer...so it's looking like this strike could be around for a while. The only good news though is it makes the chance of getting a winter BIG BROTHER more possible...

Gotta say, I watched and enjoyed this show for the first two years. But, right now, I have 4 episodes stockpiled on mt DVR and no burning ambition to watch them. quote: Originally posted by trebek: What happened to Earl? I admit this season isn't as good as previous two but with repeats you'd think it would tick up a significant amount. Did everyone assume everything was a repeat or does NBC's other low-rated shows not give it enough of a promotional kick?

So BIONIC WOMAN is never going to get the chance to retool and relaunch itself? The thing is I knew this show was doomed the minute it was announced last year because it reminded me of how the nets launched SURFACE, INVASION and THRESHOLD to copy LOST...and I saw BW as NBC trying to clone the sucess of its own HEROES and I knew BW would meet the same fate as the above mentioned shows...the copies and clones just never make it....

I'm not too optimistic. One thing's for sure: if the strike doesn't end some networks will lose a lot of money and not only this season.

"Scrubs" built on the "Office" repeat in 18-49. I'm impressed. I also admit to actually laughing at something on this show this year. I don't remember the last time that's happened! Not so impressed with "Earl's" demo number -- which didn't do "30 Rock" many favors.
-- I agree.

Marc, didn't you get the memo that announced that Scrubs was ending after this season? Why do we need to hear week after week that the show "needs to retire" when the announcement has already been made?
Yep. Marc needs to attach that comment to 30 Rock and maybe even Earl...and maybe even NBC as a whole. As for Scrubs, the mandatory retirement age is looming, as noted on the show itself. The plotline is already foreshadowing the end is near. It will be a real shame if the writer's strike prevents a 'proper ending'.

While ER did build from lead-in Scrubs, compared to one year earlier (Viewers: 13.36 million; A18-49: 5.8/15) that was a loss of 4.74 million viewers and 41 percent among adults 18-49. Last, and very least, was ABC’s Big Shots, at a not so big 5.98 million viewers and a 2.4/ 6 in the demo. Source: Nielsen Media Research data
With roughly half of the viewers of Without a Trace, Big Shots pulled virtually the same A18-49 demo count. That is efficient demo-gathering in my opinion. Big Shots is still the strongest Thursday at 10 pm demo offering from ABC this season. And last nights episode was superlative, not that it matters, but it was.

Nice way to spin the abysmal numbers for BS

There's not a full grid version up yet. There are just pieces that you have to put together through text. The grid schedule will probably be released later today. http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-nbcmidseasonreality,0,7480602.storyhttp://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7510quote: Originally posted by A.C.: quote: Originally posted by WelcomeToK-Ville: I don't know about Medialife, and what they are reporting, but deadlinehollywooddaily is saying that both sides will meet again on Tuesday and that the writers haven't even received half the offer yet. WOW!! I never would have believed this -- well done, Robert -- I bow to you... I do have to say that I watched it (DVR-delayed) and was not very impressed, but apparently Robert was right about Shrek's HUGE popularity! ABC has to give a supporting shout-out to Dancing with the Stars though, for giving it a huge promotional platform. Chimera, Dont forget what you said you would do if it hit or was above 20 million.quote: Originally posted by Chimera: I am willing to post every day on here for a week saying "I'm an idiot" if Shrek breaks 20 million... read my [virtual] lips: "it just will not happen"

But ER still lost to a REPEAT of With Out a Trace. Never a good sign to have an original lose to a repeat.
