NBC opened the evening with Football Night in America at 2.41 million viewers (#3) and a 0.7/ 3 among adults 18-49 (#4) from 7-8 p.m., followed by the umpteenth telecast of holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life at 4.89 million viewers and a 1.7/ 6 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m.
ABC filled Christmas Eve with repeats of its regularly scheduled Sunday line-up -- America’s Funniest Home Videos (Viewers: #2, 5.20 million; A18-49: #2, 1.4/ 6), Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Viewers: #2, 4.18 million; A18-49: #2, 1.5/ 6), Desperate Housewives (Viewers: #4, 3.45 million; A18-49: #4, 1.1/ 4) and the increasingly addictive Brothers & Sisters (Viewers: #3, 3.12 million; A18-49: #3, 1.0/ 3).
Fox aired a repeat of American Dad (Viewers: #4, 1.95 million; A18-49: #3, 0.8/ 3) at 7 p.m., followed by repeat theatrical Spiderman at 4.19 million viewers and a 1.5/ 6 among adults 18-49 from 7:30-10 p.m.
The CW capped off the evening with two repeat episodes of Reba (Viewers: #5, 1.60 million; A18-49: #5, 0.6/ 2 from 7-8 p.m.) and two repeat episodes of 7th Heaven (Viewers: #5, 1.53 million; A18-49: #5, 0.5/ 2 from 8-10 p.m.).
