So... Grey's returned with lower numbers than Lost did at the end of January.
Is this a DST effect? That timeslot was "warm" from January through March... it's only the last couple of weeks it has been repeat-laden.
We'll see how the finals work out (after all, Grey's ran two minutes into the 10pm hour), but it looks like "best retention ever" out of Grey's for Lost.
Supernatural had nobody but themselves to blame with their horrible camera action. Even Cloverfield had better camera work, and I couldn't stand Cloverfield.
Nobody could stand Cloverfield, so how the hell did it make 80 million dollars? By the studio very cleverly promoting it for a big opening weekend--by the time people figured out it was crap, they'd already spent their money.

Oh and the CSI & Grey's numbers are absolutely shocking. What is happeneing? Are the viewers not aware that these shows have come back?

Lost has an established endpoint, so its ratings don't concern me much.
Ugly Betty and Greys Anatomy don't appeal to me anymore, so their ratings don't concern me much.
I never liked CSI, and seriously--why should its ratings concern anyone? It'll run for years longer, until everyone is bored to tears with it, and most of the original cast has left.
I want 30 Rock to die a slow painful death next season, so its ratings make me happy.

Not a viable strategy for SN, sadly.
I liked Cloverfield, and i went thinking i'll hate this movie. Sure it was stupid in parts but it didn't bore me. And this happens a lot when i go to movies lately

Gee i wonder if lost_fan is a fan of lost.
Who cares? He has a point.
Yes, I have Lost in my name too, but I also have a point.

It's never a viable strategy for television shows period. Isn't Friday Night Lights done with the same camera action?

With Fast Nationals of 3.56. Smallville should also fall significantly with numbers for what easily should be a series low. I would expect to a round 3.2-3.3 million viewers.

Yes, and all it took was killing several recurring characters. If I were a recurring character on Lost, I'd be very afraid right now.
Seriously, it was one of the best eps of the past two seasons, and Greys provided a strong lead-in, however diminished. That doesn't change the fact that Lost is no longer lead-in material itself. ABC is running clean out of lead-in shows. Greys will need a strong lead-in next year, if it can't do any better than what I saw of it last night.

I watched a bit of Greys last night, and as far as I'm concerned, it's never coming back.

It's a camera technique that seems to annoy a LOT of people. The biggest complaint I ever hear about Blair Witch Project or Cloverfield tends to be the camera movement. It just puts people off.
That said, I don't find it particularly annoying. Cloverfield was a fun bit of mindless entertainment and BWP worked because of the camera movement. It's not a technique that should probably be repeated often... Supernatural made a mistake to do it.
I'm a fan of the show... but none of the episodes since it came back from the strike have been good
I watched it a few times before the strike. It may be a little worse. But it was NEVER funny.
I think Fey probably pissed off her writers with that American Express commercial--"Does mama have to do everything around here?" That fire in the writer's room was probably started on purpose, after they saw the script for the ad.
