Note: Any prior rating results are based on the final nationals. Since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 13 percent at this same point last year to approximately 23 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted.

-Saturday’s Winners: Nothing
-Saturday’s Losers (excluding repeats): Elitexc Saturday Night Fights (CBS) and the night overall
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: Obviously, there is not much to say when the top-rated network pulls in fewer than 5 million viewers. But Fox was indeed first overall in households, total viewers and adults 18-49 with its perennial combination of Cops (original and repeat – Viewers: #1, avg. 3.99 million; A18-49: #1, avg. 1.4 rating/6 share) and America’s Most Wanted (Viewers: #1, 4.73 million; A18-49: #1, 1.6/ 6). America’s Most Wanted was the most-watched show of the evening.
NBC finished second overall in total viewers and last among adults 18-49 with its encore combination of two episodes of The Office (Viewers: #4, avg. 1.56 million; A18-49: #4, avg. 0.5/ 2 from 8-9 p.m.), Law & Order (Viewers: #2, 3.76 million; A18-49: #4, 0.7/ 3) and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Viewers: #1, 4.82 million; A18-49: #1t, 1.1/ 4). CBS was third overall in total viewers and second in the demo with its line-up of 48 Hours (Viewers: #2, 4.01 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.8/ 3) and the return of Elitexc Saturday Night Fights, which sunk to just 2.62 million viewers and a 1.0/ 3 among adults 18-49 from 9-11 p.m.
Lowly ABC capped off the evening with a repeat of Peter Pan on The Wonderful World of Disney (Viewers: #3: 3.14 million; A18-49: #3: 0.9/ 4 from 8-10 p.m.) and a repeat of Eli Stone (Viewers: #3, 2.28 million; A18-49: #3, 0.6/ 2 at 10 p.m.). All together now…what a crummy night!
When will this torture of terrible numbers and terrible shows on Saturday night end?
I bet I know what most people were watching last night. The 3-D Concert with Hannah Montana.

FOX Has Now Won 16 of 24 Nights in A18-49 for 2008 July Sweep; CBS Has Most Viewers
With its ever-dependable Saturday line-up, FOX still leads in A18-49 where it averages a 2.0 in A18-49, followed by NBC in second with 1.6, CBS and ABC tied in third with 1.50 each, The CW fifth with 0.6, and MyNetworkTV last with a 0.3 average. Year-over-year, all the networks are showing A18-49 declines from last July. Overall, A18-49 is down 10% across the six nets from last July, and the largest year-over-year declines are being experienced by The CW (down 18%) and MyNetworkTV (down 14%).
After 24 nights, CBS holds on to its customary lead in viewership, with FOX in second, NBC third, ABC fourth, CW fifth and MNT is last.
In viewers, ABC and FOX are both showing year-over-year increases compared to last years July Sweep, while CBS is even, and NBC and MyNetworkTV are only down a small amount from last year (both are down by a mere 1%). Overall viewership is down only 1% to last July (down 220,000 viewers on average). The biggest year-over-year decline in viewership is being experienced by the repeat-heavy The CW (down 19%, or about 385,000 viewers).

The data for the last two nights is based on FAST National numbers, whereas previous nights this this year and last years comparative numbers are based upon final Nielsen numbers.
Nota Bene. This year's Sweep includes the low-HUT Fourth of July whereas last year's Sweep started on July 5th and did not include the Fourth of July.

Hey dumont...remember last week when we were talking about the record low rating Earl brought the last 2 weeks? Well, this week those ratings look good by comparison to The Office. NBC is hurting.

CBS never should have tried this once, much less twice.

yes, it is just a rerun, but ABC should not have renewed this show.

Haha, The Office has hit a new low.
If those numbers carry over to finals, The Office will have set an all-time Original Three network low for viewership, and will have tied an all-time NBC low for A18-49 demographic.
Nearly every Saturday this summer, record all-time lows are being established.
Ouch on the CBS results...I watched it, and I thought it was better presented than the first one- but you didn't get a lot of buzz or a lot of promotion compared to the first one. They do have one scheduled for October 4th- and they're bringing back their two big draws (Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano), so it'll be interesting...

This is the number that I found most disappointing of all last night.
I was hoping to see ABC get a nice number for this vintage Disney classic so that they would go back to the Disney vault to programme future Saturday nights. Wouldn't it be nice to see Fantasia or Snow White on a Saturday night?

Kids were to busy watching Hannah Montana.

The demo numbers were actually decent the first time out, once the post-prime overrun was figured into the count.
Unfortunately, a poor presentation that initial night set the stage for night two's huge ratings dropoff. The lack of promotion and star power for the 2nd outing just clinched the freefall.
There's supposed to be a 3rd go in October, my suspicion is that CBS will pull out before it can happen.

Eli Stone's numbers are pathetic, especially considering I saw so many promotions for it! Come on! When does a net promote Saturday reruns? Eli Stone was promoted many times during the week, and still loses from it's rerun.
I think it'd be wise for ABC to rerun Pushing Daises, Private Practice, and Dirty Sexy Money. Putting reruns of Private Practice behind Grey's Anatomy is not going to do anything for the show.
