Hahahah. Seriously.
But look at it... Private Practice opened "okay", not incredibly strongly, and who knows how many people are going to stick around (since it doesn't seem like anyone liked it). Dirty Sexy Money held a decent amount of that audience and the reception was generally better... but is it lead-in dependent in week two? Without Dancing with the Stars supplying Private Practice with a giant lead-in (of, at least, viewers if not the ad sales demo)... who knows. Really. And that's an entire night, three hours of programming, that we really have no idea what to expect. A night with a big, buzzing new hit at 9pm on a different network.
But, in any case, PD is the only series this season with such a huge marketing push and nearly universal critical acclaim. It kind of has no choice but to open big (or flop completely). Not a lot of in-between. Here's hoping for big returns!

Wow, ABC's entire fall season rests squarely on the success/failure of wildcare Pushing Daisies this Wednesday (and, depending on how it premieres, how well it holds up in future weeks).
Note for all of the people involved with Pushing Daisies: No pressure.
