You are incorrect. The total numbers are added together. Do some research. Thanks.

Oh that's priceless. Good thing you edit quickly when anyone actually shows how you are wrong. And what is this old guard vs new guard crap you are spouting? All anyone here is talking about is fact vs fiction with you landing squarely on the side of fiction before you edit it.

You have your beliefs, but that doesn't mean I or anyone else here has to accept them because you have repeated it for a fifth time. So next time you tell some one to do some research on a stated fact when you are trying to argue erroneous fact...nevermind. Out.

If you are clueless. Sorry if it sounds mean, but it's obvious you people here have no clue about the real business world of entertainment.

Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters were amazing! The best night of television in my opinion. DH is definitly back in track. Felicity is doing a subperb job with the whole cancer storyline. I could feel Sally Field's pain when she was scared to answer the door when not hearing about her son in Iraq for 3 weeks. Great scripts + amazing acting = great night of TV!

It reflects that the networks aren't ready to give up on Friday night just yeat. Saturday may have been abandoned, but that abandonment isn't quite ready to spread to a second night as some have predicted.

I agree that Pushing Daisies will have to prop up the whole night for ABC to some degree. However, the 'open big' has to be mitigated by the HUT levels at 8pm. I don't think it is realistic to expect Pushing Daisies to outperform Private Practice in the ratings.

I agree. I think if Pushing Daisies can at least become an Ugly Betty level performer, it will be seen as a success. Much like Betty, there is really nothing at all like this. I'm still optimistic.

Actually Travis. Everyone I know that say PP and Greys this week found PP to be much more entertaining. I actually believe PP has some real potential. The storylines worked on that show. On Greys, I thought that we were just a scene away from George hopping on a motorcycle and jumping over a bin of former cast members.

Hahahah. Seriously.

But look at it... Private Practice opened "okay", not incredibly strongly, and who knows how many people are going to stick around (since it doesn't seem like anyone liked it). Dirty Sexy Money held a decent amount of that audience and the reception was generally better... but is it lead-in dependent in week two? Without Dancing with the Stars supplying Private Practice with a giant lead-in (of, at least, viewers if not the ad sales demo)... who knows. Really. And that's an entire night, three hours of programming, that we really have no idea what to expect. A night with a big, buzzing new hit at 9pm on a different network.

Note for all of the people involved with Pushing Daisies: No pressure. Wink

Personally, DH was back on track last night and I thought it was back in true form.

AS to B & S, loved it. The proper balance of comedy and family squabbling with many dramatic moments. What worried me was the coming attraction scenes for next week with the military funeral being held. I thought Dave Annable was coming back this season so either that was a red herring--like a dream sequence or some one else's funeral--or Justin is dead. Does anyone know if Dave Annable is coming back this season?? HMMM!!!!

I thought the exact same thing. But I am pretty certain Dave Annable is back. I am going to email Ken Olin and ask him.

Thanks Marc. Appreciate it. I'm pretty sure he is coming back however those coming attractions(the way they arranged them) concerned me. A good way to get us to come back next week even though personally I don't need any other reason. Love this show.

Years ago, TV guide use to do an issue called "The best show you are not watching". Now B & S does OK in the ratings, however it could do much better. IT is definitely the best show that people should be watching in droves--In my opinion.

Oh and I forgot to mention that Nathan Fillion was amazing in it.

You also forgot to mention that the ratings were down 24% from last season's premiere.

Hey Marc,
Could I get the half hour #'s for 60 Minutes last night? I am curious to see how it did in this 90 min. format-to cover the NFL overage. I bet they got killed when it got to the 8:30 half hour especially.

How do you know this? Were the ratings for DH bad last night?
