You are crazy. Nissan is "thrilled" as they said. I can't wait until next year when Nissan is still sponsoring it. Your credibility will be gone, along with your old school thoughts.

Review the timeline of events:

1. NBC performs a 'stunt' by reairing the Heroes premiere on Saturday.

2. The stunt results in NBC managing to get Heroes into the Top10 viewer list for the week (their only show?).

3. The stunt results in NBC looking slightly less pathetic in the overall week#1 ratings average because they get to bypass one hour of low rated Saturday programming.

4. Next week, Heroes will take a larger than normal drop in the ratings and get press for how many viewers are fleeing the show.

5. Next week, NBC will get a larger than normal drop in the weekly ratings when their extra hour of Saturday junk counts again. Again, more press for their poor showing.

6. Next year (if Heroes remains on the air that long), NBC will get more bad press when Heroes takes an above average year-to-year viewer drop in the ratings.

Did I miss anything?

Gee, I wonder why you might say that?

I have a feeling that this will be a year in which a lot of established shows are cancelled. HIMYM, PB, and TD are all in a lot of hot water. Honestly, TD really shouldn't have been renewed but FOX had to keep something from last year's lineup.

Overall season average numbers don't care about week to week declines. The added numbers are pure gravy that no one else will have.

Congrats NBC.

Isn't it great that we can already count on another season of Heroes? I wish more of my favorites were like this (FNL, HIMYM, PB and TD to name a few).

We'll obviously not agree on this. It's cool, I will be vindicated by the great press Heroes will get for getting into the top 10 and next year when it is once again sponsered by Nissan with limited commercial interruptions.

Hopefully for you, Shark will still be on.

FOX would NOT be able to use the rule in this situaiton. The rule states that the same episode and commercial load need to be shown in the same Nielsen week. In this case FOX showed different episodes of KVille on Monday and Friday. (The 2nd episode on Monday and the debut episode on Friday.)

Since I taped both the K-Ville second episode shown on Monday and the K-Ville pilot shown on Friday on repeat, I can say that the commercials were the same. So K-Ville would qualify if FOX choose to go down that path and use the rule.

I agree, although Til Death is very funny. I just hope they wrap up the story on HIMYM anticipating a cancellation at the end of the year. Prions Break's 3.2/9 in the demo will assure it another season if it keeps it's average.

Didn't they show the same episode on Monday and Friday this week?
