Yeah right a show that os watched by 3 millions less viewers it's dominant. Maybe in a parallel universe

Yeah, a parallel universe where advertising pays for these shows, and being more than a full percentage point higher in the demo easily annuls a three million total viewer advantage.

Both shows are awful, both are declining, neither is anywhere near cancellation.

Just be grateful Greys is so awful now--it would be winning easily in total viewers, if they managed to fix it.

Don't worry--not gonna happen. Shows that go that far down the toilet never come back.

And neither will CSI.

Seriously? I don't go to TWOP anymore. Too much negativism. Wink Last week was AWESOME though! This week, not so much! I enjoy every episode though, they always look pretty. Big Grin

They're not forgiving of the Sam/Ruby sex. Roll Eyes They didn't like Anna either. And that Sam and Dean aren't attached at the hip like wincest-y lovers. There's a pathological territoriality about those boys at TWOP. Off. the. deep. end.

Sheesh, the Sam/Ruby sex was what got me watching again. I never did really get into the original boy-heavy format--being a guy, I actually prefer looking at girls. Funny, that.

SPN is never going to be a big hit, but the last thing it needs to worry about is aggrieved fanboys and fangirls, sulking about how the showrunners don't understand their deep-rooted psychological needs.

I'm not ever going to be a huge fan, but as long as Genevieve Cortese hangs around, consider me a new SPN viewer.

McNiven? Eh.

Sam/Ruby was 1000x hotter than Dean/Anna IMO.

Yeah, I saw most of last week's ep on Saturday night, and the second half of last night's after The Office. If they repeat it Saturday, might watch again.

It's more balanced now--I never really got into the Sam & Dean thing, though the actors work well with each other, and I understand it's the central dynamic of the show. Doesn't mean it has to be the ONLY dynamic of the show. That's the problem with two-lead shows--the dynamic gets all worn out if there aren't other characters for them to bounce off of. That's why The X-Files was turning into a mess by season four.

Ultimately, I watch shows for the characters--if I like the characters, the show doesn't have to be that good--if I don't, the show had better be effin' brilliant. I never liked the Winchester Bros. all that much, and SPN has never gotten within 20 parsecs of brilliant--I was counting down all the well-worn cliches in last night's ep--but it was a decently entertaining ride. And, you know, Genevieve Cortese, kicking ass. Nuff said.

You do know the angel stuff is mainly coming from those Christopher Walken movies, right? Wink

Grey's has gotten so aweful lately. It use to be a must see show. The s/l with Izzie/Denny the ghost and the cult of self-mutlizations interns is too out there even for me. This is not a daytime soap, s/l should not be this off the wall. Last night I found myself tuning out for the first time and not caring anymore about these characters. Bring back Kate Walsh and Isiah Washington! Even though he didn't get along with the cast well he brought something to the show that has been missing since he left.

I don't care at all about the God stuff, but it doesn't work badly, I mean if I buy demons in the show, I can buy angels, but I too, watch shows for characters, and I couldn't disagree more with you about liking the brothers. I mean, I'm young but i've seen a lot of tv, old and new, and I can say with certainty i've never seen a more engaging brotherly bond on tv. I guess you haven't seen a lot of episodes but you'd have to be heartless not to feel for them. They're all they have in that depressing life and everything's against them. I mean, when someone is willing to go to hell for other person, it's some deep stuff. Sure, the show isn't brilliant and this last episode was horribly cliched, but it's entertaining and fun. I like Cortese, but the acting isn't no where near the J's. They sell it to me, they're hot as hell, they're friends and live together (wich I guess inspires some fanfic out of those more imaginative minds Big Grin ) and they're worth watching.

Oh man it was so fun! I never laughed so hard on a Survivor Tribal council! Between Sugar's list of "adjectives" for Randy, Chrystal saying it for everyone to hear, the jury's expressions, the laughing when he pulled the fake idol! SUGAR was SO AWESOME in everything she did! Big Grin I hope she wins. It's been so entertaining. Such a sweet goodbye to Randy. Won't micha! Big Grin

For those saying this could be the last season on Survivor, that demo proves them wrong. Go Survivor, you're more entertaining than ever!

Smallville may be "aging" but it's still the best drama performer for the network, and I'm sure if Tom Welling will agree to another year, there will be another season.

Supernatural has a five year plan and that show's ratings also prove you shouldn't mess with success and that they should let the show have a year 5.

The CW seriously needs to consider what to put on to replace those shows once they're gone, though. The demo may be different but there's no denying that they've solidified their Thursday nights.

I still don't get why negative words need to be used to describe Smallville considering its performance. ER was "aging" or "fading" for years and now look at it - it's one of NBC's only strong shows. And if message board traffic from last night is any indication, people are far from apathetic about it.

NBC with its line-up of tired My Name is Earl (Viewers: #3, 6.75 million; A18-49: #2, 2.6/ 7)

Although I hate MNIE, I think NBC is just fine with its numbers. Heck, Knight Rider, Life, Law and Order, etc all have lower demos.
