I didnt care for cashmere mafia. It tried to hard to be like the late, great 'Sex and the City. I am almost 100% positive that Lipstick Jungle will soon be following down the same downward path as cashmere. Sometimes people dont want to watch a show that is a complete rip-off of an old favorite.

I completely agree. I watched the first episode on Sunday and really wanted to like it, but it just seemed so generic. I hope Lipstick does better. I really like Brook Sheilds. quote: Originally posted by tv avenger: I didnt care for cashmere mafia. It tried to hard to be like the late, great 'Sex and the City. -Total Viewers: NBC: 11.31 million, CBS: 10.77, ABC: 7.61, Fox: 3.89, CW: 2.07
-Adults 18-49: NBC: 3.1 rating/8 share, ABC and CBS: 3.0/ 8 each, Fox: 1.4/ 4, CW: 0.9/ 2 ----------
Note: Any prior rating results are based on the final nationals. Also, since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 9 percent in early 2006-07 to approximately 20 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted.
----------
-Yesterday’s Winners: Deal or No Deal (NBC), Criminal Minds (CBS), Supernanny (ABC), CSI: NY (CBS), Law & Order (NBC)
-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): Power of 10 (CBS), Crowned: The Mother of All Beauty Pageants (CW), Cashmere Mafia (ABC) ---------- -Ratings Breakdown: NBC led the Wednesday troops, with an overall first-place finish in total viewers and adults 18-49 as a result of Deal or No Deal (Viewers: #1, 13.32 million; A18-49: #1, 3.5 rating./10 share), the return of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Viewers: #2, 9.57 million; A18-49: #3, 2.6/ 7), which currently airs on USA Network, and Law & Order (Viewers: #2, 11.05 million; A18-49: #2, 3.2/ 9). In the battle of the 8-9 p.m. game shows, CBS’ Power of 10 cannot compare to Deal or No Deal. Take a look:
Wednesday 8-9 p.m. Deal or No Deal (NBC) – Viewers: 13.32 million (#1), A18-49: 3.5/10 (#1) Power of 10 (CBS) – Viewers: 6.12 million (#3), A18-49: 1.8/ 5 (#3)
CBS’ underrated Criminal Minds rose to a dominant 14.59 million viewers and a 3.9/10 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. (the most-watched show of the evening, in fact). But lead-out CSI: NY (Viewers: #1, 11.59 million; A18-49: #1, 3.5/10 at 10 p.m.) has seen its advantage deteriorate opposite Law & Order.
ABC’s Supernanny was the stand-out last night, with 8.88 million viewers (#3) and a second-place 3.7/ 9 among adults 18-49 from 9-10 p.m. Comparably, that built from lead-in Wife Swap (Viewers: #2, 7.80 million; A18-49: #2, 3.0/ 9 at 8 p.m.) by 1.08 million viewers and 23 percent among adults 18-49. The 10 p.m. time period debut of drama Cashmere Mafia was a disappointment, however with just 6.16 million viewers and a 2.3/ 6 in the demo. Could this be a sign of gloom for NBC’s upcoming The Lipstick Jungle? Fox aired two repeats each of Back to You (Viewers: #4, 4.22 million; A18-49: #4, 1.5/ 4 from 8-9 p.m.) and ‘Til Death (Viewers: #4, 3.57 million; A18-49: #4, 1.4/ 4 from 9-10 p.m.), a personal favorite of mine care of the flawless chemistry between Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher. And the CW capped off the evening with the ludicrous Crowned: The Mother of all Beauty Pageants (Viewers: #5, 1.80 million; A18-49: #5, 0.8/ 2) and Gossip Girl (Viewers: #5, 2.34 million; A18-49: #5, 1.1/ 3). Gossip Girl posted its best ratings in five weeks in total viewers, adults 18-34 (1.5/4), women 18-34 (2.1/6), women 18-49 (1.6/4) and aforementioned adults 18-49. And Gossip Girl rose to its best teen (1.8/6) and female teen (3.2/11) ratings since Nov. 28, 2007. Source: Nielsen Media Research data
Marc sounds like the guy writing CW's press releases. GG did horribly again last night no matter how you see it

You look to a show like Cashmere Mafia, and you understand that ABC should really start to pay some respect to a show like Boston Legal, and treat it like a resource. Cashmere Mafia will actually do worse than Big Shots.
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.

As I mention every week, Crowned should be pulled. 0.8 in a demo is never good, even for CW standards. Since we are on the CW, 2.34 million is all the season finale of Gossip Girl got? Yes, it built from Crowned, but almost anything could. For all the effort CW puts in promoting it, it still can't break 3 million. That's not good. FOX needs to stop airing repeats of Til Death and Back 2 You. Those shows don't repeat well and it just kills FOX's night. That being said, I think this is Til Death's last season. I said one would lose out and now it's shifting towards Til Death losing. Talking about being pulled, Power of 10 and Cashmere Mafia deserve to be also. Simply put, Power of 10 is a summer show that doesn't work elsewhere. Put it on Friday if CBS really cares about it, if not stick it in the summer. Cashmere Mafia is a bust. It lost over 40% of its audience in its second original airing. If I was ABC, I would pull it fast and forget it ever aired. Big Shots was never that bad. I don't think even October Road was this bad. I'll have to look back at the numbers. NBC is doing well now, but what happens when they start running out of original material and have to rely all on reality shows/re-runs/whatever? That being said, as expected Law and Order times three rules the network. Law and Order: Criminal Intent should come back to NBC in the fall and join its other two. I actually am surprised at the strength of Supernanny. Yes, the rating aren't blockbuster but for cheap filler, that is actually very respectable. Wife Swap did well too. Perhaps they can dump Cashmere Mafia and do a night of Wife Swap/Supernanny/Just for Laughs. It would be cheaper in terms of programming and would get roughly the same results. I still don't know how to fix ABC Tuesdays besides airing infomercials. As for Lipstick Jungle, depends on the quality of the show. Has anyone heard anything about the show or seen the pilot? NBC has been so secretive about it. There's a Knight Rider movie? Well NBC was doing well. Didn't they learn anything from Bionic Woman? No remakes of stuff people don't want to see again. Is an A-Team remake far behind?

I forgot, it's possible to know the half-hours for Cashmere MAfia. At the series premier were really bad.

The More Established L&O did take a chunk out of CSI:NY. The little Hiatus of L&O only wet the appetite of the viewers and now they want a little more L&O than CSI. But once Repeats are running for both, CSI:NY should be a little more dominate.
Why there be repeats of both anytime soon? L&O should have plenty of originals in store.

I'm confused on how GG is doing horrible. It had a 5+ million viewer lead in for almost the entire season and was doing about the same numbers. That lead in has vanished, and it's still posting similar ratings. I wouldn't say it's doing great, but not bad enough to warrant a spot on the "Losers" list; which is why it's not there.

Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle will get all of their new episodes run because of the strike. So will Crowned and One Tree Hill. I liked about half of the storylines on CM (the ones with Miranda Otto & Francis O'Conner) which is about how I feel about the Desperate Housewives. And bad as it was, Bionic Woman did start with a good sampling before everyone figured out they cast the wrong actress in the role. I didn't like Knight Rider back in its days, but I think this version will at least get its foot in the door. But I really like seeing L&O:CI and L&O:Mothership back in the timeslots that they belong in and doing well. Which braindead NBC programmer's idea was it to move them around last year?

I don't think L&O has a full season available, or even 13 episodes. Its been a while since I read what L&O was able to get filmed before the strike. Yes, it will long out last what CSI:NY has available in Originals, but Come April, they may be on equal footing.

From the initial ratings, people did want to see Bionic Woman again, they just didn't ike what NBC came up with. A-Team would be a great pairing with American Gladiators. NBC can slowly change over from being the 'quality' network to being the 'garbage' network. Maybe they can even remake BJ and the Bear and Sheriff Lobo?

They won't give it a good lead-in...even though the lead-in doesn't affect Boston Legal's ratings.

I would need to look it up again, but it seems like there is a Theatrical remake of the A-team in the works. Anyone else remember hearing this a while back? quote: Originally posted by Obveeus: quote: Originally posted by WelcomeToK-VilleAmericanGladiators: There's a Knight Rider movie? Bumped for a rerun of Cashmere Mafia (was really necessary?) and really poor advertising. For a series which is still doing good after 4 years, they could sure do better.
