Have any Live/+7Day numbers been released for Lost at all since the season premiere?
Have those numbers been released for any show consistently this year?

I think ABC is more than happy with those repeat numbers.
Yes, but only because of the strike.
I think a new Survivor and a special-on--going Deal or No Deal "event" that keeps picking up momentum about the million dollar giveaway would be considered great competition at any time, not just during the strike.

Once you add the DVR numbers, you should see LOST over 15 million Viewers easily. I guess, we have to wait for actual DVR +7 days numbers to see how lost is doing. Secondly, let's see what LOST does next Thursday.
Hi, I have a question...when will the DVR ratings be included and do they count equally as the "live" viewers?

Haven't watched last nites show but can't it just be about 3 successful friends; does it need more than that? Did thirtysomething have a premise? Other than being about friends in their thirties? quote: There is no direction. There is no premise.

The Live + 7 numbers are released 3 weeks after the original airs. The results for the premiere of Lost will be released next week.

DEAL OR NO DEAL...I still don't get the appeal of watching people opening suitcases for an hour. IF it were only ONE night of the week maybe I could understand the popularity...but the same thing MULTIPLE times a week being so popular I just don't get. Anyway I hope it doesn't overtake SURVIVOR in the ratings.
ELI STONE is a bust. When is ABC going to wake up and realize...PEOPLE DON'T LIKE ""WHIMSY"...they really just don't but they'll hang onto DAISIES in the fall.

I meant, ABC can be reasonably happy about Lost repeats ratings, only because they don't have many options for the 8pm slot at the moment.

I think those live+7 numbers next week will start shedding light into LOST's true reach. It had the highest DVR play last season, and with the DVR use much more pronounced this season, expect it to play an even greater role into the final numbers. Even though last season this set of data was not very useful, I think people will pay increasing attention to it as more and more viewers switch to that mode of watching. In another decade (if not sooner), more people will be watching all their shows time-shifted versus live, and ratings will have to better account for that. I hardly ever watch anything live anymore.

It depends on who's quoting the numbers and why. Fans will include them for braggin rights or whatever. On the other hand, advertisers don't really care about the DVR numbers unless they're looking at product placement. Predictably, the C-3 results (which measured how many people were watching commercials) showed that almost all the DVR viewers fast forward through commercials. Since the purpose of measuring the ratings is to sell advertising, the Live + 7 numbers are rather meaningless.

Well the show was dipping considerably until they started loading a million dollars into all those suitcases. This stunt though can only be found appealing until someone wins and then the numbers will be dipping back to how it was before. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: DEAL OR NO DEAL...I still don't get the appeal of watching people opening suitcases for an hour. I agree -- it requires absolutely no skill, and of the more successful game shows DOND has consistently awarded some of the lowest prizes per episode. Duel awarded over a million and a half, guaranteed, to its winner, and only 8 million watched.

Actually, I just read the opposite the other day, that more and more advertisers are finding out that their commercials are increasingly being watched on playback. I'll look for the article and add it here.

Thank you for the info. Just 1 more question...where can I find the Live +7 numbers on this site?
