It would not surprise me at all to see WAT win both next week.

NBC in general should be doing better than it is. They have more new material than either ABC or CBS and still aren't able to pull ahead in the demo (much less in viewers)
I agree that NBC should be doing much much better but they're not so what can ya do. AS for ES vs. LJ, LJ is just as likely to drop even more next week so my guess is that Eli Stone will maintain a slight lead.

quote: even if it was advantageous to drop a lot of their 2 million audience performing shows, they can't because there aren't pilots or mid-season shows to replace them.
Not to mention whenever they try a new series they get fairly bad results. Gossip Girl and Reaper are dismal when you take into account that even Pepper Dennis was doing better numbers for the WB back in 2006... CW isn't courageous enough to try something fresh or original and thus they have a limited supply of what they can produce with their pilots. More of the same hadn't worked for WB or UPN the last several years of each network and it's obviously not working for CW either. While I find Supernatural unwatchable it's one of the few shows on CW that has a dedicated 3 million audience and doesn't seem to rely on Smallville to pull consistent numbers. With Fridays now wide open they're going to be screwed unless they program nothing but cheap reality for half of the week. Their best strategy for next season... Sunday - REPEATS Monday - One Tree Hill/Gossip Girl Tuesday - Beauty and the Geek/Everybody Hates Chris/The Game Wednedsay - Top Model/*new drama* Thursday - Smallville/Supernatural Friday - *new reality shows* Our best strategy? CW shuts down.

LOST's ratings have nothing to do with the shows quality, like most shows. The dip in ratings are from the fact that people have short attention spans and need answers right away. That's not the kind of show LOST is.

My ideal CW schedule, with the only "new" project being a Green Arrow spin-off that for some reason the CW does not want, even though they've signed Justin Hartley to a talent holding deal: Monday: GG/OTH would seem to work Tuesday: Reaper/Supernatural Wednesday: Top Model/Beauty and the Geek rotation, open slot for something new or whatever they want at 9pm Thursday: Smallville/Green Arrow Friday: Comedies or reality... I know others have tried to "re-create" ABC's success with TGIF, but it might be worth at least trying again. Sunday: Encores of three dramas Or, The CW could step back to the early days of WB and UPN and eliminate a night or two, and strengthen the nights they do have.

Or maybe it has to do with people going out on dates for Valentine's Day? Take notice, LOST only had a small drop in viewers so only a small percentage of LOST fans could get a date for Valentine's Day.

Whoops... wait a minute, someone seems to care enough that all they have complained about the show is how the answers won't be satisfying enough. quote: I wouldn't even watch this show again without the strike.
Good for you! A wise man once said that life is too short to be wasted on watching something that you don't like let alone complaining about it online. I suggest reading a book. quote: And it should get better ratings, given the (lack of) competition.
uh huh.. The competition is actually higher right now (or atleast at the same level) then last year where Lost's competition for a large part of its last 16 episode run was repeats of Medium and CSI NY. Even in originals CSI:NY and Medium had lower demos and total veiwers then what Celebrity Apprentice and CSI repeats do, this is not even counting original episodes of Supernatural and Don't forget the lyrics which are on the same timeslot. Thursdays at 9 has more competition then Wednesdays 10om even during a strike. quote: Anyway, your post was a rather poor pisher imitation.
Translation: lordi is right, I have no arguments to back up my claims that were questioned by lordi in the previous post.

Everyone agrees that Lost: Season 4 is not only the best season of Lost but also the best show of this season so far. On this site its the same 3 people who are complaining week after week and we all know who they are.

Sorry to be so late with this. Thanks for the final numbers, Travis. It breaks my heart that more people did not watch this episode of SPN. I thought last week's episode was awesome and, if anything, this week's episode was even better. It never ceases to amaze me how this show can go from comedy to action to heartwrenching and back to comedy so seamlessly. According to the final numbers, it retained over 80% of SV's viewers, so I guess that is good. I just wish more people would give this show a try. I know a number of you will just think I'm another one of those crazy SPN fans forever defending the show. Well, I've not liked every episode this season, but the last five have been really, really good. And the previews make next week's episode look even better, if that is possible. Oh, well. I guess me and 2.97 million other people will enjoy it.

I hope you are wrong (though I'm afraid you probably aren't). They are re-running one of SPN's best Season 2 episodes (Nightshifter, written by Ben Edlund) at 8:00, the one that introduced the FBI agent who will return in the new 9:00 episode. The 8:00 ep ends with what might be my favorite use of a classic rock song in all three seasons of SPN (which is really saying something for this series, which makes such wonderful use of this music). Even if you don't watch the whole ep, I highly recommend switching over to catch the last 5 minutes to see the last scene, which is set to Styx's Renegade. Amazing. I'll shut up about SPN now.
