That is what you don't understand. No one outside of the rabid Lost fanbase obsesses about the "answers". I wouldn't even watch this show again without the strike. And it should get better ratings, given the (lack of) competition.
Anyway, your post was a rather poor pisher imitation.

This is where you completely lose me. Why would Lost get better ratings due to the last of competition? Nobody else is. Both AI and, yes, House are down year-over year and they have no competition whatsoever. Lost is up significantly year-over-year. What about that don't you understand? Excepting it to draw 20 million just because CSI is in repeats is foolish.
Good thing about America is that you can give your opinions, and try to force them down people's throats, hell it is going on right now... called the Presidental Election, their opinions are on TV every night telling us that they are better because their opinion of the US is this......... Really people have become so immature about people's posts the don't realize, Lost is slipping, ES and LJ and finished, and Heroes vs Lost argument is the dumbest thing i've ever heard... They are on different nights, different shows, and yes one was on without a strike. So really everyone just settle down and remember, this is a forum about TV, TELEVISON, really people are actually taken to heart that their show is being bashed... well you know the answer right? Bash the shows you hate when the do poorly, you can't argue the numbers people...
Oh and to actually block someone on here isn't going to help, there are so many e-mail accounts for free, you can sign up and create a new name and be here again... So really people.. lighten up and remember THE STRIKE IS OVER!!!!! goodness

Let's wait and see the quality and ratings of Heroes in SEASON FOUR.

Thamk you for posting the finals, Travis.
I haven't read through all the pages in todays' thread, but I did want to comment on Eli Stone. the premise is that God or a brain tumor has caused out protagonist to act on behalf of those in need. Episode #1: immunizing your children causes Autism. People with Autism should get big piles of money from the Pharma companies. Episode #2: fertilizers and pesticides cause people to be sterile. people that cannot have children should get big money...ooops, change topic mid-show and make it about helping illegal aliens stay in the country. Episode #3: help people lie so they can get out of the military and send innocent people to jail in the process.
Eli Stone is definitely taking on bold topics and putting for bold statements/twists about what is right. Unfortunately, the 'messages' are muddled (even illogical) and that crushes the enjoyment out of this quirky show.
I can't wait for ER to return to this timeslot. In the meantime, I think it just means one less hour of network viewing for me. I see no reason to give Eli Stone any futher time.
I've only watched the first two episodes of ELI STONE and found it entertaining.
However, it doesn't fit well after LOST at all. I'm a big believer in having shows that at least appeal to similar audiences. ELI STONE would seem to be better fit out of PRIVATE PRACTICE, GREY'S ANATOMY, or DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - but I don't see that happening.
And speaking of ABC, it is disgraceful how they've treated BOSTON LEGAL. There's no consistency in airing of originals and the lead-in is pathetic.
Out of all the networks, ABC's scheduling department is by far the worst - and is a big reason why they are suffering right now.
They should've put their originals on certain nights of the week instead of scattering them all over the place. Tuesday's is a wasteland and BOSTON LEGAL should've moved off of there.
ABC should've ran BOSTON LEGAL originals after the two hour EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION episodes and held BROTHERS & SISTERS until the strike was over.

I agree. Arguments like this are kind of trivial when you put a lot of things into perspective, especially after five people lost their lives and 16 others wounded at the hands of a maniac at Northern Illinois yesterday (NIU is in DeKalb, 50 miles northwest of Chicago.) Weatherman Tom Skilling at WGN even broke down on the air crying because one of the people wounded in the shootings was a former intern of his. So please, everybody calm down, be grateful and thank the Lord you are living and breathing today, and keep those slain students and their families in your prayers.

Frankly, I'd rather watch Eli Stone, no matter how muddled it is than ER. Its my personal opinion. Is the show going to make it? Most likely not. Should ER still be on the air? Absolutely not. While I agree expecting it to do 20 million today is illogical, the fact that it can't do 9 million some weeks means its time for a goodbye already. There comes a point in time when you've sucked too much life out of something. Would you like another Girlfriends situation on your hand where the show has obviously become so meaningless that it can't pull enough viewers to get a proper series finale? By this time next year, I'm guessing ER will be struggling to hit 9 million an episode. In fact, it may hit that this year if Lost moves to 10pm.

The question for next week is which one will drop more. If Eli Stone drops just a touch more than LJ, LJ will actually win in the demo.
Of course, WAT got a 2.3 in the demo this week and 2.7 last week, so the WAT repeat could actually win in both the demo and viewer...which is really sad for ABC and NBC.
NBC in general should be doing better than it is. They have more new material than either ABC or CBS and still aren't able to pull ahead in the demo (much less in viewers)
Marc, again--I'm sorry you've been put to any trouble, and I'll refrain from posting the next few days, so people can cool down.
Right, just to make it back in the nick of time to bash TSCC. Or better yet, bash Summer Glau. Don't you want other people to enjoy their shows even if it conflicts with your own vision? There is no accounting to taste. If the numbers are dropping why feel the need to rub it in. It only infuriates people and provokes these kind of outbursts. Unfortunately I think that's exactly what you want. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, including you. But you're trying to force your opinion down our throats. Nobody is forcing their opinion onto you so please respond with the same courtesy. Did you notice I used "your" and "you're" correctly. Yay! Anyway, have a nice weekend. I'm sorry I quoted him for all the people who put this guy on ignore.
