The reason that you watch the show is because of the unraveling of a mystery -- if all the answers were given -- why would you watch? Enjoy the ride.

I agree -- the people who say "We want all the answers now" just don't make sense; if they had all the answers, what would the show be about, and why would we watch? LOST is about the journey, not the destination -- they're even showing us (parts of) the destination in the flash forwards, which again points to the fact that the point about the show is the journey.

There are a glut of shows routinely pulling in the 2 millions and haven't broken into the 3 million threshold.

Just wondering than...what do you suggest the CW do?

Peace!!

Simulcast with the ION network and Mama's Family, Baywatch, Who's The Boss and Drew Carey reruns would then be available in more homes.

What's in the box? Watch Lost next week to find out!

Sorry if many viewers got tired of those cheap tricks. A TV show shouldn't be about "answers" or a so-called "mythology", but should instead tell a good story every week.

So no, people don't stop watching because they want "answers" to things they don't care about anymore. They stop watching because they are bored.

And plenty of others keep watching because they enjoy it!

According to the finals exmalibu posted in the PIFeedback Challenge thread, Lost didn't break 14 mill, the final was 13.76, so your floor is officially broken Wink

Although, you'll be happy to know ES dropped slightly less than usual, loosing under 400,000 viewers in the final numbers.

Travis, could you please post the 1/2 hour break down for ES when you get it? Thanks!

There's nothing that the CW can do unless they spend money on a much wider development schedule than what is listed on Futon Critic or Variety. The frustrating thing is CW knows that they need to improve but doesn't have the means or foresight to improve. Right now, even if it was advantageous to drop a lot of their 2 million audience performing shows, they can't because there aren't pilots or mid-season shows to replace them.

One thing Lost has never been is boring. And this season has been amazing so far. How anybody could be bored is beyond me. We're getting glimpses into the future lives of the Lostees, there is constant action and movement on the island - the show is red hot.

Do you actually watch the show? If not, it would be like me criticizing House. I've seen an episode here and there, but not really enough to judge it.

If you do, then we'll have to agree to disagree.

An even bigger shocker then: we won't learn the true nature of the Island and the Monster (original mysteries of the pilot) before the last couple of episodes, and the explanation will be a letdown.

How is 4.9-5.1 in the demo the same as 5.7? Looks like we need some math lessons as well Wink

And the repeat at 8pm did poorly as well.

If a holiday repeat of a heavily serialized show doing almost as well in the demo as the holiday ORIGINAL episode of a procedural like Pushing Daisies is a bad performance then what does that make Pushing daisies? Not even worthy of being the same network?

OMG! Who is this guy? The show you are talking about is called Heroes. It is on a network call NBC (yes it still exists). Heroes had what's inside the box mystery not Lost. Try not to get your shows confused or better yet try watching a show before you try a lame attempt at bashing it. Wink

Sorry if many viewers got tired of those cheap tricks.

And yet enough viewers watch it to make it a top 10 show demographically and top 20 sow total viewerwise.

You're exactly right! So I suggest that you try not obsessing over answers or when they would be answered while watching the show and you would enjoy the good story that Lost tells every week.

I seem to recall a certain someone saying that they dislike the show for not providing answers to the big mysteries till the end (hint page 1). Talk about flip flopping.

Exactly my sentiment reading your and pisher's posts in this thread. Hey, maybe your claimed precognitive abilities are actually legit! Eeker
