I'm hoping the demo goes to abc tonite eventhough UB and Grey's are 'specials'. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: You might be right. CBs should be a tick up on ABC tonight and Friday. Sturdays are always up in the air and not much of a factor. Sunday will be the key. Can CBS stay near enough to ABC? Was this the first time NBC has lost to the CW in the Demo? Looks like NBC will break that record for a 2nd week in a row. Good thing they have 30 R0ck and Scrubs to counter act ER and The Office/Earl good numbers. quote: Originally posted by vlis: SO far this week, abc and CBS are neck to neck in the demo. I'm thinking abc could finish ahead of cbs for the week.

The decline in viewers that you are stating is not accurate. They are still watching the show, but on a different day via DVR, IPOD, and online streaming. So, in actuality, these Neilson ratings are incomplete and inaccurate. So, let's not get so carried away with stating that "Lost" has lost viewers when it is not true. Since when were the Neilsons designed to measure online viewing? (if we had a head scratching icon, it would be here)

U're living on another Planet? Lost has "lost" million of viewers. DVR, IPOD etc existed last year too

Agreed. NFL Football and DOND covered up a lot of holes. Heck, they only shows that get decent ratings are DOND and L&O:SVU. After that it, the next highest ranked show is usually around #30 or #35.

I actually think it's commendable that NBC is keeping quality programming on the air. It was about time a network cared about how good their shows are instead of just making programing decisions based on the ratings...unfortunately, people are still watching AI and similar stuff...

Exactly. According to Neilson. Lost is the most DVR'd show on television (and that was before th move to 10pm). And that's not to mention the views on ABC.com which Neilson doesn't track and the iTunes downloads.

LOST will take CSI:NY down. CBS should have programmed more agressively.

I think towards the season finale, Lost will win over CSI NY in millions and like 100% over the demo.

I think what stingbee is referring to mostly is the DVR viewings, details of which can be read about here: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117962868.html?categoryid=14&cs=1

I don't think so. Suvivor should beat UB CSI should beat GA Shark should beat Notes, but a new show always has an unknown factor.

I'm one of the stongest supporters of the show and get excited when I see them promoting the show so vigorously during their schedule.
Unfortunately, last night's "finale" was probably the weakest episode of the series. You have to assume, if they knew the show would be renewed, the outcome would have been quite different. As it stood, the show was functional as a neatly wrapped series finale. This reminds me of the Babylon 5 syndrome - forced to wrap up the story arc quickly then finding you have an entire season to fill.
NBC has ordered an additiona six scripts. I'm sure it will be renewed for 13 episodes (maybe less).
