Yeah, but considering the source, you should consider that a compliment.

Nicely summarized.

Pisher, I really don't care that you bash PD week after week, but my only question is why? Have you even watched a whole episode? I understand its not everyone's cup of tea. I despise the boring antics of crime shows like Cold Case and Without a Trace, but don't waste time bashing them every week.

COLD CASE is a uniquely different procedural than all the others. Forensics play almost NO
role in it. There are no car chases. It's about the guest CHARACTERS really. A lot of effort must go into the casting to get people that resemble each other for the flashbacks. It CBS's most well cone and classy show but rarely gets any press. It's been a quiet hit for several years now and deservedly so.

I can't understand why mushu would so shamelessly bash Cold Case, a show he CLAIMS to despise and never watch, but clearly this claim is suspect.

So far as its new shows, the returns are not totally in on "hits" PP, PD and SW -- any one of which could pull a Commander in Chief as the season progresses.

Oh, samcat, how I've missed you! Maybe now you can finally back up that ridiculous claim you made last year when you said that ABC's programming "was the worst in the history of television...."

Meanwhile, chalk up another November sweeps win. Roll Eyes

Yeah, it's not like it has ever won in the demo in its timeslot. Oh wait... Roll Eyes

Yes wait--NO show is doing well in that timeslot this season. PD should have stuck with its own kind, if it wanted to keep that streak alive. And now it's DEAD. Big Grin

Man, even MORE so after looking at this chart. Week after week, down down DOWN--until it has a massive and somewhat compatible lead-in--and can barely hang onto a little more than half of it.

Sure, let's forget two of those weeks were Halloween and Thanksgiving. Poor pisher can only remember national hollidays one week later. Roll Eyes

And is that last "DOWN" in capitals meant to describe the +2.6 millions? Big Grin

Because Marc just said PD looks increasingly unlikely to get a second season, and you can't very well call him a troll, since this is his forum?

quote:
It wins it's timeslot and has been picked up for the season. Nuff said, eh?

It didn't win its timeslot this week, and lots of unsuccessful shows get picked up for a whole season. Like, for example, Back to You, which is one of the reasons PD has been able to (barely) win the 8pm timeslot so far.

TV peaked with St. Elsewhere, until Joss came along anyway.

Joss peaked with the first three years of Buffy, until--well, he just peaked with the first three years of Buffy, period. At least he HAD a peak. More than Bryan Fuller can say. Big Grin

TV peaked with The Rockford Files, btw.

Heck, he has to promote his webcasts every once in a while, right?

At least I can remember how many 'l's are in 'holiday'. Big Grin

And you really think Marc forgot about the holidays when he said PD was fading fast? Why do you keep complaining about what I say? Nobody outside this forum is paying attention to me. Or you. Lots of them pay attention to Marc.

More like the massive drop from its lead-in, and what Marc himself describes as a "disturbing" drop in the second half hour.

It's getting increasingly hard to paint me as a fringe-dwelling loonie, isn't it? How are things out on the fringe, btw? Nice weather lately? Big Grin

Oh wait--you were eyerolling Marc? Geez, buddy. Sorry for ventilating you with my cookie jar gun. I hate guns. I never carry one, unless I have a small plane to shoot down, or like that.

You really ought to have edited out everything but the remarks you were eyerolling. That kind of thing can get a guy killed. Wink
