Okay, Pisher I was not talking to you. Mind your business unless I direct something to you, okay?
Sure. And in return, you have to promise to never respond to anything I say, except on those occasions that I'm talking directly to you. Which, if you never responded to me, would be NEVER.
You really have a hard time grasping this isn't a fan forum, don't you?
Fine ... I'll be more than happy to never speak to you again.
"TV peaked with Rockford Files", my Mom loves that show, she still watches in reruns sometimes. My guess is you must be in your 50s-60s. That explains a lot about your tastes, It's not meant to be insulting, but people from different generations have different tastes, especially when it comes to humor.
Even though we are from different generations, seriously - Rockford Files is the peak
Hi all, I finally decided to join up after browsing the ratings section of the site for many months. I would just like to say thanks to Mark for providing these ratings. This forum is very helpful.
Not a bad day in my opinion. Kid Nation managed to hold on well despite being up against powerhouse Shrek and The Grinch. At 9:00pm, Criminal Minds did fine, and this is a season high I'm sure. Pushing Daisies did much better than previous weeks despite loosing a sizable amount of its lead in. Although I dont like this show, it really isn't my cup of tea, the ratings dont really match up to the lable "Fading Fast". Its doing better than people are making out. Bionic Woman is doing terrible. Gossip Girl did extremely well compared to its previous weeks (Is this a season high? I'll have to check). 10:00pm Dirty Sexy Money held on quite well to its lead in, but its still not doing very well. It cant keep leeching its audience. It'd die at 8:00pm.
In my opinion, the list should be as follows :
Winners : Shrek The Halls, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Criminal Minds, CSI:NY
Honorable mention : Pushing Daisies
Losers : Kid Nation, ‘Til Death, Bionic Woman, Life
Bye now folks!

Only that Lipstick Jungle will be on Thursdays at 10PM starting in February. Other than that we only know that American Gladiators will be debuting on Sunday January 6th and that most likely moving to another night after that.
They still have Law and Order and Medium to schedule, as well as some other reality / game show offerings (what ever happened to 1 vs. 100?).

Majority's right, so spot's wrong. And you're right, I sound like such a hippie.

I really don't know why you think it's relevant to bring up a Friday show that costs less to produce, and is up against tougher competition.
Did I just get you to compliment ER?

A show that has to hide behind Halloween and Thanksgiving is just--sad.
By this logic, Criminal Minds and CSI:NY are the only two shows on Wednesday or Thursday that aren't sad.

Have you considered getting that monogrammed on your chest or something?
I have to keep saying it because your only real argument at this point seems to be that I'm wrong because Marc is right.

I'm just trying to make you look petty and ill-informed. And so far it's going really well.
Right, like that time when I said the 9:30 half hour was still ahead of all recent airings, and you called me stupid. Kapow!

But over and over, he's shown that it's better to evaluate a show's ratings on the ratings themselves, not whether or not you think the show ought to stay on the air. I know people think I do that, but I don't.
Yeah, but if the majority of people think that's your motivation, then that's your motivation.

Then you've really wasted a lot of time here.
The revelations continue.
Spot you are right Marc is showing bias and that is cool, it is his place and he has a right to report the ratings in a biased manner..
Funny how the networks which is what matters see things more clearly.
ABC which you guys Love to bash will be raising as rates.
Dirty Sexy Money" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
Taking second to CBS' veteran "C.S.I.: NY," ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" topped its freshman drama competition during the 10 o'clock hour, NBC's "Life," by 13% in Total Viewers (7.1 million vs. 6.3 million) and by 18% in Adults 18-49 (2.6/7 vs. 2.2/6). The new ABC series ranked No. 1 in its time period among Women 18-34 (3.3/9).
"Dirty Sexy Money" was up week to week by 11% in Viewers and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (6.4 million and 2.0/6 on 11/21/07).
Dirty Sexy money WINS AGAIN in 18-34 and this includes facing established CSI NY!!!
Hmm looks like 8/9 weeks we have won that demo and ABC looks to be happy.
I have a full season pickup and am currently prepping a SEASON 2 BUDGET including getting Jill a trailer on site.. LOL
You guys and your inaccurate and ridiculous predictions LOL,
" oh Life is done" " Pushing daisy's is fading" "DSM should be cancelled"
Funny LIFE GETS PICKED UP, DSM GETS POICKED UP AND PD GETS HIGHEST RATING SINCE PREMEIRE , yet it is fading??? Oh and BTW DSM retained the highest % of a lead in to date. 7.15/8.2m
THATS STEADY , THATS DOMINATION in a DEMO and thats why we got a PICKUP.

By crazy people logic, maybe.

No, my arguments are the same ones Marc used--PD just isn't performing well enough, relative to the timeslots its been in, and the competition it's had. Honestly, I'm still reeling that I have to explain why retaining slightly over half the lead-in is not a good thing.
Seriously, Marc's is the mainstream opinion--that doesn't make it right, but you haven't done a blessed thing to prove it wrong, and it's self-evident your only real argument is that you don't want it to be right.

Yeah, but if the majority of people think that's your motivation, then that's your motivation.
Touche--except it's not established most people here think that. I think a lot of people here remember that the shows I said would be canceled last year mainly WERE canceled.
Even though people who sound a lot like you do now insisted they wouldn't be.
Workday over. You can take the last word, if you really NEED it.

I hope for DSM's sake you really don't work on it. And if you do, and they catch you posting here, you won't be anymore. I mean, after the strike.

You are taking things way too personally. Marc 'ignores' everyone, not just the people that disagree with him. If for some reason you need/want a response from him, try participating in the things he works at (such as the podcast) or the things that interest him (such as Mama's Family). You really aren't going to have much luck engaging him in conversation if your half of the participation is eye rolling emoticons and claims that he got his 'losers' list wrong.
Wow, this is bad news for PD. Yes, vlis, PD went up in raw numbers, but it was shown at 9:00PM, when raw numbers are higher than those at 8:00PM. And it had a huge lead in from The Grinch (18mil) AND dipped badly at the half hour. People turned the channel when PD came on, and a bunch of those who didn't turn the channel at 9:00PM did so at 9:30PM.

That does, indeed, merit a "fading fast" label.
Was it the Grinch that was on?? I thought it was the Shrek special.

Have they announced that officially x? If so, when will it be on?
