What follows is the fast affiliate rating results for Friday, Aug. 29 broken out overall by network and by half-hour (in the order of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and the CW).
5th Grader is proving that Fox will likely have its best Friday fall ever. The only question is if it does well in the fall, will Fox still pull them for a much needed break come January to throw away their other stuff on this night?

Something special must have happened on the show during the 9:30pm for a couple million extra viewers to tune in just during that half hour.

Oh. In that case, it looks like just another typical low summer ratings night.
I agree with mushu about 5th Grader being a solution to FOX's weak Fridays. It will be interesting to see if FOX sticks with it or moves 5th Grader back to Thursday when 'Hole' fails.
Side note: Marc Reaper now has 2 folders on the main page, but neither one of them is the old folder with all the posts in it. Any chance of getting the old folder back and getting rid of the two empty ones?
I think 5th Grader will be a Friday success. Not too sure about Lyrics - while I prefer that show over 5th Grader, 5th Grader has always done better on Thursday nights.
And to stick positive here, at least Swingtown was back up from its Olympic-lows. It started off OKAY, but fell at 10:30 - honestly, though, who's to blame? 10:30 on a Friday night is horrible, especialy for a show that skews younger.

The Clock is ticking on your time to enter this season's game! You have until Monday, September 1st, 2008 to make your roster so just a few days remain to pick the 10 shows that you WANT to get canceled!

Media reports have CBS Exects shopping it around to cable networks...hopefully they will take notice and one of them will pick it up.
I think 4 million is good at this point for Swingtown. Sure, it isn't great by no means, but how much better can a show like this get Fridays at 10pm in the summer? For a younger-skewing show, that should be a dead slot, but it's still managing to get viewers. It's also up from its Olympic lows, which is good. I'm sure it'll go down once the final numbers come in, but when DVR numbers are factored in, it will most likely rise quite a bit.
