Life Is Wild's pilot is on yahoo for view and it is surprisingly well made. I did enjoy it. That being said, I won't be returning. Too many other good shows to watch at that time.

Today I was able to catch the two episodes of Chuck on Bravo, I really liked it. what's the normal showing for it?
I guess tonight is the last night for CW's new shows to debut, any guesses on how Life is Wild will do?
Life is Wilde deserved at lest for the premiere a decent lead-in. It's practically a dead show without any kind of leadin. Why are they airing it?
Sundays at 8 with the "highly rated" lead in of Online Nation which has yet to eclipse the million viewer mark. Its a real winner combination!

Well i've watched the pilot for Liw and it's at least decent. When i saw where CW will air the show i thought it was beacause it's relly bad. That's not the case. Maybe it costs to much and CW wants to get rid of it quickly

CBS could air a mix of schedules from their Saturday lineup of the 70's, or Sunday lineup from the late 70's, early 80's.
ABC could air Charlies Angels reruns along with Love Boat, and either Fantasy Island or Hart to Hart.
NBC, could air reruns of Different Strokes, Facts of life, Gimme a Break, Golden Girls, or any of those other hits of the 80's along with Hunter or say LA Law or Hill Street Blues
FOX could stay with what they have... then we could talk about ratings on Saturday night again.
Now that is a very awesome idea.. I would totally watch.. all those shows were awesome and so long ago.. I don't remember every episode!!

There's a great article over at www.thefutoncritic.com (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/rant.aspx?id=20070911) that mentions how ridiculous statements like that are.

While sometimes it may not appear that way, networks aren't out to destroy your favorite shows. They're actually hoping to make money off them. In other words, if CBS decides to move "Shark" to Sunday nights or NBC decides to move "Friday Night Lights" to Friday nights, the hope is they'll do well there - not shrivel up and die.
Life Is Wild is on Sundays because the CW had no other slot. People always complain that shows get a bad break, but CW had limited time-slots to put things on at.
Personally, I think they should have put Beauty and the Geek on Sundays and premiered Life is WILD on Tuesdays with Reaper, but either way, they have no other spot for it, so it went to SUNDAY. They're also hoping the 7th Heaven audience will give it a shot. It's supposed to be cute/cuddly without much going on upstairs... perfect replacement for Heaven.
The only way this would work is if those were the only days, times and networks you could see those shows.
If you could still see them locally or on TV Land, then... why bother.

They do this occationally, and they don't usually do any better than regular programming

NBC Battlestar Galactica/Flash Gordon Psych/Monk L&O: CI
ABC Greek Kyle XY Umm, two Disney sitcoms? Hannah/Corey
CBS Do they even have anything as far as cable owned channels outside of VH1?
FOX The Shield/Nip-Tuck Rescue Me/Dirt
Some of that stuff might have to be edited a touch, but that is nothing new.
I think Disney airs new episodes of those series on Satudays to begin with.
I know my daughter was watching Suite Life last night and she said it was new.

Two Disney Channel sitcoms would do great on a Saturday, because that is the age that is usually home on those night, so they could run new episodes.
I would do this:
8:00pm Hannah Montana 8:30pm Suite Life 9:00pm Cory in the House 9:30pm Hannah Montana 10:00pm 20/20
We can't be too far off from someone taking a gamble on Saturdays.... it's a DVR world and the nets could easily run ads saying make sure to DVR us on Saturdays...
I agree with that. Soon the ratings on Satuday will be jsut to low and they may be forced to air original programming. Perhaps cheap game shows or shows similar to cops.
It's not a matter of the networks trying to resurrect Saturdays -- its a matter of saving the rest of the nites. The realities that killed the networks on Saturdays exist during the rest of the week too -- the just arent as evident yet, although Friday's are one step away from the grave. The ad-based mass audience model network television was built on just isn't realistic today.

I always like Seth Rogen and SNL and the writers made him very unfunny.... that episode was brutally bad. I don't dislike anyone in the cast but guess you jut get spoiled in the decades past when there were 2-3 stars on... minus a few bad years in the 80s.. just seems to be a lot of bit players these days... If Andy isn't doing a video no one is talking about the show..

Why would a network run ads (much less program a whole night) encouraging DVRing? Aren't commercial ratings what really matter to them at the end of the day?
DVR counts this year just like normal viewing.... ad rate wise.... premiere week totals kick in week of oct 15th
With 3 of the 4 baseball series ending after only 3 games and with Chicago and LA (the lesser LA) gone already; how much is this going to hurt baseball playoff ratings? If the NYY don't even make it passed this round, is there any hope for baseball playoffs or is FOX going to be saddled with an obligation to show a bunch of low rated baseball games?

Well, all of the shows I listed , I cannot find on my cable save for All in the Family, and the Jeffersons, on TV Land, and the Golden Girls on Lifetime. I mean I get over 200 channels on my cable system, and out off all those channels, Ido not even get ION television.
