CBS opened the evening on a disappointing note, with should-be-addictive The Big Bang Theory at just 7.51 million viewers (#4) and a 2.9/ 8 among adults 18-49 (#2) at 8 p.m.

Well, you know, this can be an indication the viewers finally realized BBT is no more than your run of the mill old school unsophisticated sitcom with less than original subject matter that had been done to death before and even less impressive performances.

Still # 2 in the 18-49 demo, and that is against about the toughest competition in any time slot. That is something positive. Don't write it off just yet.

She won't care. Whether Reaper gets higher ratings than Gossip Girl (and it usually does) is irrelevant to her. Reaper doesn't score well in the teen female and 18-34 female demo. In Dawn's eyes, that's why Gossip Girl is such a hit. It's all she cares about. The girly girl teeny demo.

Ahhh, I get it now! The CW is after the Disney Channel's audience!

Hannah Montana, watch your back!

Perhaps they can snag Miley Cyrus for a guest appearance on the show.

But then we'd have to put with dad Billy Ray too. How about Lindsay Lohan. If TV guest appearances help Brittany, they could help her too.

Perhaps Raven could reignite the Sunday comedies. Is she the next desperate housewife on the Game?

Kudos to 2.5 Men
Bones will never be a hit.
OTH for me is the biggest winner last night.

CBS comedies are doing just fine. HIMYM grew from last week because of the video anticipation (and maybe the guest star) while the other three sitcoms stayed on par (2&1/2Men droped the most) with last week. BBT certainly isn't dying.

Gossip Girl didn't tank. I am quite sure the network wasn't expecting a massive increase in audience vs. prior episodes, so why pretend that they were?

One Tree Hill was on par with last week. A new episode of GG didn't bring it down or raise it up...and the promotion of One Tree Hill hasn't worked any differently than the promotion for GG. There isn't going to be a massive change in ratings for either show based upon hype. They should sign on Britney Spears if they want to actualy bring new viewers in for a look.

Bones is down slightly, but FOX is up overall becasue the House repeat did much better than New Amsterdam.

Bachelor added over a million viewers vs. last week.

Of course, not having Bela next season would also free up that money. SPN's budget being cut for next year chaps my behind.

How did I know Supernatural fans would find a way to complain despite the fact the show continues to air behind Cdubs third highest rated show and that its renewed next year. Roll Eyes

You're absolutely right. I'm hoping though that Reaper does get a large audience tonight. If so, it certainly won't hurt their chances for another season.

Nah... Billy Ray is gonna be the new host of Nashville Star on NBC come June. He'll be busy learning how to read the cue cards.

The Cheetah Girls meet the cougars. Catfight ensues. Film at 11.

Reaper is very entertaining and has plenty of potential for the future. Still, the show isn't going to pull in a ton of new viewers simply by returning to first run episodes tonight at 9pm EST. If they want to attract new eyeballs, they need to bring in a guest star (monster of the week) that will draw in fans. Maybe Sarah Michelle Gellar would be interested in returning as a guest star to play an escaped soul from hell? It would make a nice change of pace, huh?
