I tried to watch VM last night I just couldn't get into it. I still can't believe there is talk about how the show hasn't been officially cancelled. Is there anyway it could come back?
Now now. That may have been a chore, but it probably doesn't qualify as a job.

what else is there really to do? outside of the old "hold gun to nielsen family's head, change channel" routine.
I'm pretty sure that was tried at least a few times by VM fans. Unfortunately, they're about as competent at this kind of strongarm stuff as Veronica herself was for the last two and a half seasons.

seriously, though, didn't you say you don't beat horses, dead or otherwise? let the show die its death.
C'mon, Travis. Last ratings. Total vindication. No jury would convict.
Though Rob Thomas should go to jail for what he did (and wanted to go on doing) to what COULD have been a great TV heroine.

It was OK, but I can see why there was a large tuneout. Nothing special about it, but it wasn't Armed & Famous (in terms of reality) bad.
I didn't tune it. It seemed to be a remake of the Project Greenlight show that Ben Afleck did or still does (not sure if it's still a show or not got through about half the first season) Was I correct in my assumption?
On the Lot was not as good as I thought it would be. It has/had potential, but they should have just revealed those who made the final cut and moved on from there.
Some much needed/long overdue changes need to happen on AI in order keep their ratings up. After six seasons, they need to shake things up (maybe with a new host). The lost of more than 7 mil. viewers (watching Part 1 of the Grand Finale this year compared to last year) is a big deal in my opinion.

Read the synopsis of the FBI Reboot?
I was right. Just admit it.
I didn't watch so I'm going off of what I've picked up on the thread I'm guessing he ended with a cliffhanger? Maybe he decided to go with Mark Schann's idea of OTH last season and end with a big cliffhanger in the hopes of pressuring the network to bring it back which did work for OTH. (at least that what both Dawn and the show said.)
Who is now writing comic books, after making a movie based on another failed TV show. Which flopped miserably.
Thomas doesn't have a tenth of Whedon's rep (deserved or not). He'll never get the funding. It's over. He's just in denial. Because he'd be lucky to end up writing comic books.

Last year, the Idol performances finale aired against the 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (CBS), Stephen King's Desperation (Movie-ABC), two episodes (original and repeat) of Most Outrageous Moments (NBC), and repeats of Gilmore Girls (WB) and America's Next Top Model (UPN).

Sheesh, Thomas can't even be original in his shameless selfish ruses that screw over the fans?

Huh? You mistook my meaning. The show is dead. Make like the Beatles song and let it be (hmmm... I probably should've gone for something more obscure...)
Haven't read the reboot. Kind of shocked its been leaked.
... but right about what? That the ratings were cancellation-worthy? Because if you're asking me to agree with your opinion that the show has been terrible / among the worst things on TV since halfway through the first season, it's never going to happen. Season three lacked much of the charm of the first two. And the second wasn't as good as the first. But I don't have any regrets about sticking by the series until the end.

No, you mistook MY meaning, but we did that a lot, didn't we? Maybe with VM gone, we can avoid that now. Or maybe not.

Why? You can't believe anyone cared enough to leak it?

No, that the show had no reason to exist on ANY level. That television is better off without it, even if it was scoring Grey's Anatomy ratings.

Oh if it had gone to S4, I think your stubborn resolve might have been tested a wee tad.

Really. For such a brilliantly unique and critically acclaimed show, they take a few too many cues from One Tree Hill. From the fast forward to the attempt at blackmailing the network into renewal. How sad that OTH actually succeeded in their attempts while VM couldn't, even with the backing of the network president.
The movie idea will have me laughing all day long. Rob Thomas couldn't get 2 million people to watch his series finale for free, at home, sacked out in their jammies. Yeah, that spells box office success.
But he might get a few thousand weirdos to send him $10 or $20 cash money...which, you know beats working.
But it wouldn't fund a movie. And Thomas isn't entirely blind to the psychological makeup of his fanbase. He doesn't want to take their money. These people hire planes.

Heck, they're already talking about sending dollar bills to DawnO (We hate you! To prove it, here's money!!)
I've seen a lot of hate directed from VM fans to the #1 VM fan, who is the only reason the show made it through its FIRST season, let alone two more.
Say this for them--they're consistent. They never get anything right.
