but you forgot... i don't need to take his word. i have the word of internal e-mails (that, obviously, cannot be legally shared). and, no, i haven't been surfing VM boards to share in the big group rage/cry/hug/whatever, or looked for whatever RT is saying. common sense is to not believe everything he says, but that doesn't mean that nothing he has said is true. and in this case, it is. he declined an offer. stop deluding yourself. quote: Originally posted by pisher: quote: the first sentence is the funniest thing i've read or heard today.
Which only goes to prove that you haven't read any of Dumont's posts today. Or been to any VM fanboards. Or read Rob Thomas' comments about how there could be a VM theatrical feature. I don't know what happened. Neither do you. I don't take Rob Thomas' word for what happened. Neither should you. Common sense. Not any VM fan's strong suit.

A fair point, Russ! Your first! Kudos! quote: Sad, I thought you were better than that, pisher. Then again, you did call yourself a loser...
Yeah, but not in the context of our discussions, Russ. Maybe I'm just a tad less insecure than you?

Huh? There are other things to talk about besides the next career decision of Rob Thomas? Anyways, I think Jordin will win easily.

I'm going to put this in the same category as your friend who'd seen the VM standalones, and thought they were brilliant, and people would love them.

Yeah, it's such a complex decision--comic books? Or Mickey D's?

It'll definitely be Jordin, after the sad sad SAD over the top song that was totally out of Blake's comfort zone, and the way the judges totally praised her, she's a shoo in. Poor Blake, he should have gotten another original song to sing that was more in his vocal range. How unfair...

yes, well clearly his taste is question. the trepidation i had about the standalones, that he said would be absolved, came to pass... namely that without an overarc-ing mystery, the show would lose the thing i liked about it most. the cases weren't strong enough. the finale's was. i can see why the network was so high on it.

Pisher, unless your job is being constantly present on this board, maybe you should do some of it? Because it seriously seems like every three posts in this thread is a post of yours molesting the rotting carcass of this show you dislike so much.
And you people should know better than to feed the troll :/

Blake should be happy to have made it this far. As was the case last year with Chris Daughtery, the best singer in the competition, Melinda Doolittle, was eliminated last week.

Yes, a conditional is needed. I wasn't there, didn't see it and only have this board as a reference. The opinion is based on what the message posting. quote: Originally posted by pisher: quote: If Rosie DID ask this, then she is an idiot.
Yeah, and if she didn't, you are. Actually, no need for the conditional.

Be careful tv-aholic. I've been criticized because I don't like Rosie. Apparently, everyone who's liberal is supposed to agree with her. You know because all conservatives and moderates like Elisabeth.... quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: All Rosie did was ask Elisabeth a question because Elisabeth stated our enemies in Iraq and Rosie asked her did she mean our own US troops.
If Rosie DID ask this, then she is an idiot. Yea, like our Men and Women in the Military are OUR enemies. She's a Moron!

Blake kinda grew on me, with his originality, yes he isn't the best singer, that would be Melinda by a mile. But it isn't a singing competition, and Melinda's songs tended to be more mature sophisticated stylings, and she didn't have the teeny bopper vote who have the time to vote a gazillion times. I would have picked Melinda to win. No questions!
