This race wasn't even close. Demos are what matters. I haven't seen the CW's 18-34 demo ratings, but Smackdown had only about 60% of the 18-49 demo as 90210 (even though 90210 was pre-empted in Chicago). The only show that Smackdown has beaten in the 18-49 demo all week long on CW was the encore of 90210 on Thursday.

KCOP holds the rights to LA Angels games during the regular season. Since the playoffs will be taking place by the time the move to MNTV is complete, pre-emptions won't be taking place here for a while.

If CBS wanted to stay on top, they would have shaken up their Friday lineups like the other networks have done. Let's be honest, last year the Friday lineups were terrible. FOX had Nashville and Great American Band. NBC had junk. And ABC attempted to slot anything that didn't have a place and 20/20. This year, FOX and ABC took their most reliant reality shows with good, consistent ratings and more importantly younger skewing and stuck them there. NBC may have lucked into it, but they have ATJ which grew in viewership week two despite tougher competition, and DOND which will bring in good ratings on Friday. If Crusoe fails, they can just bring DOND in again. CBS countered with a declining viewership GW (which is getting more old skewing every year), a horrible sounding Ex-List that is at best getting mixed reviews (EW hated it), and Numbers. If CBS really wanted to ensure number 1, they would have at least done GW, The Unit, Numbers and demos would still be a concern as some of these reality shows can pull in the mid to even high 2s if promoted right. With this increased competition, it is far from being a sure bet.
Its not so much that they decided to air repeats, but the fact they they keep changing the schedule from originals to repeats. I fillow the show and keep up on most TV scheduleds and even I am not sure when it is a repeat or Original anymore.

What they could've done is hold on that clip special and go with a new ep the final week. Then promote that new eps were 2 weeks away and then just air a new episode per week after that. This week then they could've ended it with the clips show.

EIther ABC is finding new ways to kill their shows by changing the originally scheduled new episodes with repeats.

I agree, except for the somewhat subpar performance of Moonlight.
ABC had a great thing going with Women's Murder Club. It was doing well on ABC Fridays, considering what they pull in now, and instead the Chimps place it after Dancing With the Stars, and can it.
