It should be noted that very people wanted to see Veronica Mars, regarless of the channel it was on.

What ratings did VM have on CBS?

"Four episodes of the show averaged the following: 2.4HH rating, 3.16M viewers, 0.9 A18-49 rating"
It should be noted that Veronica Mars averaged its 3 million plus viewer audiences (without a lead-in) with summertime airings (July/August) in the Friday at 8 pm in the Ghost Whisperer timeslot.

L&O Mothership combined the $12 million Slacks case with the dangerous household items from China. Good performance from Ron Canada last night.
And count me as one of those people who think that ABC will move "Cashmere Mafia" before all of the new episodes run out. There always Boston Legal's slot.

This is just an observation... and I know there is a glut of gameshows right now, but ABC had some luck a few years ago by re-purposing "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" into a one-week stunt called "Super Millionaire." The ratings weren't obviously at original-Millionaire levels... but enough time had passed that the stunt worked quite well from a ratings perspective.
I would think that this would be the perfect time to re-introduce something like this again. They could certainly get bigger ratings for this running at, say, 9pm every night than they would with their current slate of shows...
I thought yesterdays Cashmere Mafia was very good, I think the show finally found its own style, although its too late, it has a dead timeslot, a bad lead in and most people only give a show one chance, its a shame though that when Lucy Liu finally comes back to do a tv show, it gets cancelled after only 7 episodes

Moonvest called this show garbage after the fact, so that's why it was pulled after 1 airing. In addition to the terrible time slot (which was the equivalent of dead air), CBS barely promoted it, so the ratings couldn't possibly have been a surprise. "The Cut" and "Wickedly Imperfect" both completed their runs that year with ratings every bit as bad -- and with twice as many episodes.

I and several others have proposed this many times on this forum. Unless ABC no longer has the rights, for the life of me I can't figure out why they are not bringing it back, either in its original version (which would still work) or with the Supermillionaire twist (which would also work). If they can go through all the trouble to get the rights back for The Mole and bring it back, they surely can do that for Millionaire. The fact that they have not done so is one of the most perplexing decisions ABC has made -- and that's saying a lot!

It should also be noted that repeats of Ghost Whisperer do much more better repeating in that same timeslot without a lead in.
While it was nice to see them try and give it a shot, there is no way to spin it other than VM didn't have an audience outside its core, regardless of what channel it was on. Heck even Kyle XY and Greek had better repurpose numbers on ABC this summer.

I don't think so.
Here are the numbers for the ABC airings:
June 15th - 3.16 million viewers June 22nd - 2.84 million June 29th - 2.50 million July 6th - 2.63 million

Of the four competing programs, only Deal or No Deal could stand up to American Idol.
DOND grew in the second half hour by 26% while AI only grew 4% according to The Futon Critic. I guess people just want to see how things turn out vrs watching the whole show.
