I have fond memories of David Archuleta from the Arsenio Hall version of Star Search which I enjoyed a lot more than American Idol. (He won I believe) If you want to see a clip of him at age 12 on Star Search go here.
I'm surprised CBS didn't try to bring back Star Search back as Strike replacement programming. May not have been a hit, but may not have done too bad either.

Oh, Yes. You can get the first 2 seasons on DVD.
That isn't the Family Jewel's video I was refering to.
Then what are you refering too???

I think he was making a juvenile joke about his body parts versus his tv show...
I kind of had a feeling that was what he was talking about. Might have been even a little funny had we already been talking about the show. But to start the topic off, it lost its punch.

Delivery is everything. Wink

Now, if Jericho can hold steady at under 6 million viewers and a 2.0 in the demo

Which it won't, but yeah--even if it did, that wouldn't be good enough.

CBS doesn't know how to do this type of show. They thought they could do a more mid-brow version of Lost, and it just didn't work. It took most people a few episodes to figure out it didn't work.

Now the only remaining question is whether the people who sent nuts to CBS will EVER figure it out.

Time for CBS to send all those nuts back to the nuts who sent them.

Now, if Jericho can hold steady at under 6 million viewers and a 2.0 in the demo... it will undoubtedly air its remaining episodes, be canceled, and inspire many on this board to declare the CW stupid for not picking it up for season three.
Now this is how you deliver great humor! Cool

Considering BB demos are't much more for a new episode compared to a precious repeat of The Unit which still had more viewers it does not say much about BB LOL !!
If The Unit was airing new episodes it would easily overtake BB and Jericho in viewership/demos ..
But, if The Unit had new episodes to air, there wouldn't be a winter edition of BB.

BB is only here because of the strike. Its doing roughly the same numbers as a The Unit repeat, but with a potential to grow as the season progresses.

But, neither is worth "Writing Home" about. 6 million is a dog rating for CBS.. on any night.

No arguements there but I still think BB is not doing anywhere what CBS had hoped but considering the intelligence level of CBS anymore and how CBS handles itself I guess that's to be expected LOL!!

I hopwe that the repeat strength of Reaper translates into higher ratings when the originals return. Reaper is a good show and deserves a look from all those 'too good to watch CW' types. As for PCD, I think the encores regularly did better in the ratings last year and that that trend will continue this year.

Gene Simmons reportedly has one of those celebrity sex tapes out now.

I doubt they will cancel it before the 7 episodes are completed. The replacement would just be another crime drama repeat which is already littered all over their schedule.

Are you kidding? They are running crime drama repeats all week long with no episodes left of any of their shows due to the strike.

Because NCIS is on CBS and SVU is on NBC. And Marc does not like NBC. And he likes CBS. Enough said.

I agree and asked this earlier, as did someone else. I don't think Marc checks the posts after he posts his info, because I never see any sort of responses addressed to him. But it is obvious L&O:SVU should be at least an honorable mention, if not a full-blown winner.

Yes, you are correct. Marc makes no contribution to the forum any more whatsoever, with the exception of posting the ratings each day.

I think Marc left out the word 'until'. The statement should have read: The numbers are not bad enough for CBS to pull Jericho UNTIL after the 7 episodes

Even though I don't actually like the show, I'd have to say that Jericho holding all of BB's demo rating and actually building onto its viewers is a good sign. CBS may actually want to try swapping their timeslots to see if they do any better. BB is what is failing the night, not Jericho.

Yeah, but Jericho could retain more of NCIS' lead-in, and BB9 could then compete for the reality audience when both AI and Biggest LOser are over. TV-aholic seems to agree, per below:

I wonder if a simple switching of time periods for the two shows (on Tuesday) would help both.

At least Jericho is somewhat compatible with NCIS and BB9 could then get the leftovers from the AI audience.

The Unit would easily beat out either BB and Jericho and CBS was stupid by not asking for additional new episodes, Despite all the hype, media, and promos it clearly shows people are either 1) not watching BB and Jericho and 2) the 12 + millions Unit fans are making their feelings known by not watching CBS .. But either way CBS is losing viwership/demos Tuesday night .
No disrespect meant to NCIS which I do not watch but it is a rating winner for CBS but saying Jericho would be better after it makes me laugh.. Jericho was cancelled for low ratings and is still badly struggling .

Jericho is mostly suffering because of its lead in. I agree in the swapping of the two. As for the Unit, repeats of that (which Big Brother is currently replacing) would do no better if not worse in the all important demo and not much better in total viewer. I think Jericho at 9pm would actually do about 8 million and a 2.5 demo. Not great but not terrible either.

I was thinking of out of regular timeslot reruns- not regular timeslot reruns.
