I doubt they will cancel it before the 7 episodes are completed. The replacement would just be another crime drama repeat which is already littered all over their schedule.
Even though I don't actually like the show, I'd have to say that Jericho holding all of BB's demo rating and actually building onto its viewers is a good sign. CBS may actually want to try swapping their timeslots to see if they do any better. BB is what is failing the night, not Jericho.
Yeah, but Jericho could retain more of NCIS' lead-in, and BB9 could then compete for the reality audience when both AI and Biggest LOser are over. TV-aholic seems to agree, per below:

At least Jericho is somewhat compatible with NCIS and BB9 could then get the leftovers from the AI audience.

The Unit would easily beat out either BB and Jericho and CBS was stupid by not asking for additional new episodes, Despite all the hype, media, and promos it clearly shows people are either 1) not watching BB and Jericho and 2) the 12 + millions Unit fans are making their feelings known by not watching CBS .. But either way CBS is losing viwership/demos Tuesday night . No disrespect meant to NCIS which I do not watch but it is a rating winner for CBS but saying Jericho would be better after it makes me laugh.. Jericho was cancelled for low ratings and is still badly struggling .
I will be just coming back from my Palm Springs / Scottsdale AZ trip on that day. I'll be a bit behind in my TV viewing I imagine, but I'll report on one of the future eps.

I agree and asked this earlier, as did someone else. I don't think Marc checks the posts after he posts his info, because I never see any sort of responses addressed to him. But it is obvious L&O:SVU should be at least an honorable mention, if not a full-blown winner.
vlis, I never understood why you so often seem bent on rebuking anything I say. Unlike you, I try to be objective and say what I think is fair about all shows, not just ABC's. I say plenty of good things about ABC's shows, but you just seem to have a thing about my posts I find fascinating.

The only reason I see for it coming on at 10 PM is to keep it clear of the Idol steamroller since most of the Nielsen families seem to reliably select that show. But, by putting it so late, they are doing a disservice to the show. I suggest moving it to 9 after NCIS and see if it can keep some of the invulnerability that NCIS has. The older Nielsen demographic may keep their channels tuned to CBS if they like what they see. BB is garbage and should air at 10.
Many people think both BB and Jericho are garbage and both need to be off the air !!
It looks like if you don't like American Idol, you decided to go with Biggest Loser instead of BB:
-BB went down about 2 million from last week
-BL went up about two million
Maybe a timeslot switch with Jericho could help both a little (There's a ton of stuff BB hasn't shown that they might be able to get away with at 10pm that they couldn't at 9).
But I guess CBS will be OK with BB because the 18-49's are at least stable- The problem with CSI reruns is the same with NCIS- they schew older. Does anyone think a CSI rerun in the Tuesday at 9 slot would do that much better? (It would mean CBS is gonna be writing off that slot the rest of the season).
The big problem with BB this season has been the cast- I read a lot of BB recap sites, and almost no one even remotely likes even a single person. You need both sides, someone to root for, and someone to root against...having 16 people you wouldn't give a drink of water to if they were dying of thirst doesn't make good TV....

I'm glad I made you laugh. And your belief that the Unit would still be pulling 12+ million viewers opposite AI with NCIS reruns as a lead-in makes me laugh.
The numbers are not bad enough for CBS to pull Jericho after the 7 episodes.

Jericho: I also think this was a muuuuch better episode than the premiere. I am back into it, even though the ratings are poor.
American idol: in response to the josiah comment earlier. I do not think they could let him in after he bashed the band and kicked them off the stage. I am assuming this band has been with american idol for a while and there is some loyalty. After he acted like that, i do not think the judges really had an option to keep him. You have to have the back of the people you work with.

Actually The Unit did manage bringing in impressive ratings despite AI before and would do so again. Much better than BB is doing.. The Unit has many fans and much more than either BB and Jericho and the fans are making their feelings known - CBS made the wrong choice and we can all laugh watching BB struggling LOL !!

Why do you all think BIG BROTHER is going to get big ratings against AMERICAN IDOL?

I agree that The Unit would be performing better than either BB9 or Jericho. But not 12+ million viewers. And the performance of BB9 and Jericho has nothing to do with The Unit's fans "making their feelings known." It has a lot more to do with their respective fan bases or lack thereof.
