I'll be surprised if anyone checks out Men in Trees again. That show was handled poorly with regards to scheduling and most people are going to assume these are just burn-off episodes and not even bother to watch.

CW 2.62 M 1.1/3 1.7/3
MyTV 1.10 M 0.4/1 0.7/1
Is this the first season that FOX also has the lead in viewers (not just demo), a lead it is likely to keep through the rest of the season?
CBS will be very mad if they lose the viewers crown
I guess they can focus on keeping the households lead, which will likely stay with them for another year. But HH mean even less than overall viewers, so that's not much of a consolation prize to the consolation prize.

As I recall before, Marc mentioned that Law & Order's numbers were quite impressive and something about the show being a shoo-in for another season. (I'm paraphrasing)
As for NBC in general. The are in Last place here (of the Big 4) so why would one be expecting so much praise for that accomplishment?
Also, when someone constantly is negative to you and sending nastigram messages about every post or comment they make, they tend to take them less seriously.

Marc, can a day go by where you don't unjustifiably blast NBC? Today you say Law and Order should have done better. It's overnight rating was 50% higher than CSI:NY. It grew from its lead in by 40%. And with other networks you love to give praise comparing results to prior year results. One year ago in the comparable week Law and Order's overnight results was a 5.9 (granted this was on a Friday). Which was a gain of about 35%. And if you compare Law and Order to last years time period holder, Medium, it was also a huge improvement (don't have the number, but I know it was a huge gain).
For some reason we always hear praise for FOXs shows on Thursdays b/c of huge year to year improvement, but that same reasoning does not hold for NBC.
When will you get over your hatred towards NBC and report on a level playing field?
Well, maybe I am being a bit too sensitive, but it is obvious that Marc holds a grudge against NBC.
The results for any show could always be better, but when you beat the 2nd place network in the time period by 50%, I think that is pretty good. And i don't recall Marc making those comments about L&O returning next season, but I think that is quite obvious considering NBC does not have many programs getting those types of numbers.
NBC is NOT in last place where the ratings count the most, in the 18-49 demo. As a post earlier today showed, they are in 2nd place.
I really never expect Marc to take me seriously. I don't even think he reads the board much any more.

And by the time April 15th rolls around, they will be in 4th place again.
You are probably right on the grudge since I know Marc is not a fan of Zucker. But not sure how much of that comes across in his analysis. (But heck, I don't study everything he says unless it's a show I care about -
You have a lot of good insight as well so I would think he would take some of your comments to heart.

I might watch a few minutes here and there. I like most of the actresses. Except Heche. Who is in every other scene. Which is why I'll only be watching a few minutes here and there.
Jericho is in a horrible time slot. I wonder if the DVR numbers of folks who watch it delayed are any better? Why did CBS put this on after BB, which people fall asleep watching?
Honestly I think CBS wants Jericho to fail, but it is their fault if it does.
I feel sorry for Boston Legal also. ABC doesn't do anything to promote this show any longer, and the writing is solid and actually very original. It is one of the few shows still on that manages to integrate some relevant and timely topic discussion into the dialogue, ala The West Wing.

Here's a wild thought.
Maybe not everyone wants to watch the same shows you want to watch.

The fact that it is an ABC studio product is probably why it is being allowed to finish out its season whereas Girlfriends on CW is not. Both series are about the same age. Both series are struggling in the ratings. Both series were on the edge of cancelllation last year. Both series knew that this season would likely be the last.
