While CBS was wrong to greenlight Jericho in the first place, and wrong to bring it back after it was canceled, they might as well finish airing the episodes they've shot.
Just so they can say they gave it a fair trial before hanging it.
Actually, the trial was last year. This was the appeal. Denied. Prepare the gallows.
BB has tougher competition. Jericho was up against a repeat and a weak BL.

I doubt they will cancel it before the 7 episodes are completed. The replacement would just be another crime drama repeat which is already littered all over their schedule.
Even though I don't actually like the show, I'd have to say that Jericho holding all of BB's demo rating and actually building onto its viewers is a good sign. CBS may actually want to try swapping their timeslots to see if they do any better. BB is what is failing the night, not Jericho.
They pretty much contain it to only Saturdays now. CSI:NY did a couple of weeks in the Thursday-8pm slot, in January, to fill in for Survivor. I think that has been pretty much it for them.

Yeah, but Jericho could retain more of NCIS' lead-in, and BB9 could then compete for the reality audience when both AI and Biggest LOser are over. TV-aholic seems to agree, per below:

At least Jericho is somewhat compatible with NCIS and BB9 could then get the leftovers from the AI audience.

Originally posted by Chimera: I'm pretty sure those AI numbers are lower than last week, and defintely lower than last year. I thought last week's turnaround might be a sign of an overall turnarounf for AI, but it looks like it was just a 1-week bump...
AI last year: 29.44 million viewers and an 11.7 rating/30 share among adults 18-49 Yesterday: 28.84 million viewers and an 11.2 rating/27 share among adults 18-49
Very small decrease, prepare for 7 more years of bad singing.

I agree and asked this earlier, as did someone else. I don't think Marc checks the posts after he posts his info, because I never see any sort of responses addressed to him. But it is obvious L&O:SVU should be at least an honorable mention, if not a full-blown winner.
I think last nights episode of Jericho was better than the season premiere. However, with the ratings so far, do I see this show coming back for a third season, not likely. I do wonder though if they filmed an end episode, where everything is wrapped up in a concise and understanding manner. I truly hope they do not have a cliffhanger for the last episode like they did last season.

What are you an attorney? That response sounded like this to me: "Objection your honor, speculation!! Witness is not allowed to extrapolate about a show's ratings in a tv ratings forum!"

They already said that they filmed two different endings. One which was a cliffhanger and one that was a finale.

Jericho is not a late-evening show. It should come on at 8 or 9 PM. The only reason I see for it coming on at 10 PM is to keep it clear of the Idol steamroller since most of the Nielsen families seem to reliably select that show. But, by putting it so late, they are doing a disservice to the show. I suggest moving it to 9 after NCIS and see if it can keep some of the invulnerability that NCIS has. The older Nielsen demographic may keep their channels tuned to CBS if they like what they see. BB is garbage and should air at 10.
