Wouldn't surprise me at all to see her give Grey's Anatomy the same treatment that Pierce Brosnan gave Remington Steele.
If she leaves, wouldn't it be more ala Clooney leaving ER? Grey's is an ensemble, unlike Remington where Brosnan was the lead. I doubt the 5 episodes are due to one out of an ensemble's movie schedule. It could just be that it takes them longer to write and produce episodes than DH.

Well i don't know about that. For example i think Kate walsh's was a disappointment for many (myself included). GA will survive if Heigl wants to leave the show but it will drop a little

Does anyone think the current slide to 7 or so million viewers and a terrible 1.9 in the demo will go up? I doubt, even with Dancing, that BL can ever go back up to 10 million or a 2.5 demo that they had before. So, hmmm..what can we expect?
I actually think it will go right back up to that range -- 10 million viewers, give or take a few hundred thousand, and 2.5 in the demo, give or take 0.2 each week.
I don't agree. I think a lot of shows are never going to return to their pre strike levels.
I agree that a lot of shows will underperform this spring. Remember what DLST did last year.

I hadn't heard Heigl was leaving--I'm not even sure what's happening on the show. I tune in now and again, and once I've verified that they are still not done with the George/Izzy thing, I tune back out again.
I like Heigl, and am hopeful she'll get a series on HBO or Showtime that involves lots of nudity.
However, I'd be more likely to start watching Grey's again if Izzy left, and took George with her. That character is a detriment to the show now. And I wouldn't blame Heigl for leaving, because it's the fault of the writers for so badly bungling Izzy's arc, and introducing the whole absurd George/Izzy thing. But for all I know she asked for something like that, to boost her screentime. I have no freakin' idea.
Heigl was a rising star before Grey's, but I'm far from convinced she's going to be a big movie star. That being said, she doesn't really need the show, and the show doesn't really need her. The show does need Sandra Oh, but Sandra Oh does not need the show.
Most of the other actors probably do need the show. Unless they all get a spinoff eventually? I have no freakin' idea.
Regarding GA's episodes being less than DH. DH's 7 episodes was the exception, not the rule. Marc Cherry was eager to get going on writing DH, and told ABC he wanted to do 7 -- he says he's been sitting around for 3 months and is eager to get going. But as a rule for all their returning shows, ABC had said 4-6 episodes.

DLST???
True, a lot of shows underperform in the Spring, but not a lot of shows go from having Carpoolers as a lead-in to having DWTS as a lead-in. BL has a very loyal, if not very demo-friendly, audience, and even though it doesn't rise much higher than 10 million, it also stays fairly stable with DWTS as its lead-in. Going up by 2 - 2.5 million viewers and a half a point in the demo is not too much to expect when the lead-in goes from under 4 million and under 1.5 in the demo to over 20 million and over 5.0 in the demo.
P.S. I have no idea what they meant by DLST -- closest thing is DWTS, but that did well in the Spring...
Regarding Heigl, she's under a 5 year contract, like the rest of the cast, and even though she made a lot of waves at the end of last season that she wanted to leave the show, she ultimately returned. I have not heard nearly as much buzz about her wanting to leave this season. My guess is she'll stay the 5 years (2 more seasons), and not renew after that.

How many times has HIMYM aired after a new epiosde of 2&1/2Men? It would be interesting to see how well Rules of Engagement could do in the earlier hour, but again, CBS might not want to find out that answer.
Answer: 0. HIMYM never ran after original 2.5 Men. The only post- 2.5 Men run HIMYM has had was repeats during this past summer.
Un-savory people in our society. People you do not want to be associated with.
Well, of course I am already in the dictionary. Call me when you reach that status.
And, dawg, am I supposed to be dogged by you pointing to a dictionary definition of my nickname? How did you think I got it?! Obviously, I'm more than happy to be "un-savory" or else I wouldn't use it on a, you know, internet forum.
Speaking of which, anybody here already using "Rabble Rouser?" I think I'm going to make that my second account. (I'll need a second account so that I can have support to back up all my weak arguments. Just like the rest of pifeedback.)
