So, Boston Legal returns in April with 5 new episodes, and it will air following Dancing, right?
Does anyone think the current slide to 7 or so million viewers and a terrible 1.9 in the demo will go up? I doubt, even with Dancing, that BL can ever go back up to 10 million or a 2.5 demo that they had before. So, hmmm..what can we expect?
I hate to say it, but Big Brother is probably bringing in far better ratings among adults 18-34 (note: 18-34, not 18-49) than reruns of The Unit would. BB has always done well among adults 18-34 in the past, which is why CBS keeps it around. Advertisers crave that demo. So BB helps to lower CBS's average audience age, plus provides a promotional platform for CBS's other programs to a younger audience that (I'm guessing) doesn't watch a lot of the Big Eyeball Network.
I hope I'm wrong. I'd like to see BB go down. Otherwise, score one for crappy reality against scripted shows.

It should be interesting to see how Grey's and Lost perform since CSI and WAT will have a 3 week jump on them with new episodes.
Will regular Grey's viewers give CSI a chance during the 3 week gap in original content?
WAT will have its hands full going against LOST.

I'm sure it is him. It would be pretty hard not to notice the timing of the sex tape release with the new season of Family Jewels. Classic example of how celebrities will do anything to promote their 'celebrity'. The sex tape plays right in to the promos for the new season giving gene a lie detector test about his infidelities. Really, this is about as 'unauthorized' as the Michael Jackson expose on MNTV right before his new music came out. Hmmm...I think I just compared Gene Simmons with Michael Jackson. I better go hide now.
I am so grateful new television is coming back. I cant wait for new DH, B&S, SW, and UB.

I bet 10 million 2.8 demo average for those eps. However, ABC will likely pull the final ep or two in sweeps and air them afterwards like last year in favor of extra Bachelor editions. As if we needed that.

Of course ABC's line-up is going to be bad. It's going against The Biggest Loser and American Idol. I think that ABC's Tuesday Line-Up is there, because they really dont want to kill any show, so they put the dead one's there. However I like According to Jim. (Why are there so many haters?) I would like it to be moved to Friday's though, that way I think it could attract more fans, and how could it do worse then the current Friday line-up?

Big Bang will now lead off the Eye's comedy four-pack, with Mother sliding a half-hour back, to 8:30 pm/ET. Welcome to the Captain, in turn, will move from the Monday lineup onto the answer side of a Trivial Pursuit card. — Matt Mitovich
Think of this as How I Met Your Mother's test. If it pulls better numbers than Big Bang at 8, its renewed. If they're lower, then its audios time or at least a move to elsewhere on the lineup. Big Bang is already secured for next year.
Aw shucks! I didn't invent that, you know. Perfected it, maybe. But the word-coining is much appreciated. Now let's work on getting it into the dictionary!
Is it a synonym for vliserize?
vliserize

I'm not sure if it was a reflection of my spelling ability or of my interest level in that show, but I'll try to take note of the correct spelling, either way.
I also think that CBS realizes the strength of BBT, especially now given how well it has performed in repeats and views it as a tent-pole with 2 1/2 to build a very strong night. BBT has the potential to grow into a big hit for CBS. I feel it would already be had it not been shut down by the strike.

I agree Fridays are where Jim belonged all along this season. Jim hour into WMC repeats would surely increase current offerings.
