Ugh. LV to NY cross over would be fine, but I don't think I could stomach the Miami edition.

CSI DR. RAY LANGSTON FOLLOWS THE EVIDENCE ON A CASE TO MIAMI, NEW YORK AND BACK TO Las Vegas
Laurence Fishburne Guest Stars in "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY," and Wraps Up the Case at Home in Las Vegas on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"
Monday, Nov. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM) CSI: Miami - Horatio Caine (David Caruso) calls Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) to come to Miami when a severed leg found in the Everglades is discovered to belong to a girl who went missing in Las Vegas a week earlier.
Wed., Nov. 11 (10:00-11:00 PM) CSI: NEW YORK - Langston rushes to New York when Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and his team identify a woman hidden in a big rig following an accident as someone he interviewed in Miami related to his missing person's case. Though the woman disappears after the accident, Langston and Mac discover they're onto an interstate trucking ring that specializes in human cargo and black market organ harvesting. Scenes shot on location in New York City.
Thurs., Nov. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM) CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - Langston's continued search for the young girl taken hostage as part of the human trafficking operation leads him to investigate a prostitution ring in Las Vegas that may harbor the missing woman.
Next week CBS will have a drop in finals for the 8pm hour because the San Diego Chargers are being shown on CBS in the San Diego market. The Chargers get excellent ratings in the market and the market is a decent size, so there will be a noticeable drop.
The preemption will have a very different effect on the various shows. 2.5 men is actually airing right after the post-game show, so it will actually have a *huge* lead-in...but non-football fans might not know when to find it. Here is the schedule as of now, though everything depends on how long the game will take:
9:14 - 9:45: 2.5 Men 9:45 - 10:15: Big Bang Theory 10:15 - 11:15: CSI: Miami 1:55am - 2:25am: How I Met Your Mother 2:25am - 2:55am: AOP
If the game runs long, all the shows will drop in finals. If the game ends at the scheduled time (which normally doesn't happen and the affiliate makes a lot from the post-game show so they aren't about to cut their part short), then HIMYM and AOP will drop significantly and the other shows will have slight changes.
I thought most Charger games get blacked out locally because they don't sell out. I think Castle is better this year. I could see it growing into a hit.
I am looking forward to "Men of a Certain Age", I think that is the title. With Ray Romano and Scott Bakula. I think it could be funny - stuff you could do but can't now (pulled a hammy)or using jokes or pick up lines that used to be funny now gets an "eeew or creepy old man" reaction.

Is that the remake of BBC's Manchild that was originally supposed to be on Showtime but was shelved in favour of Californication?

Thanks for that good information. If you remember let us know next week after the game airs which shows were affected based on the game ending and the post game show. It will help to know how the finals will be affected next week.

Is it confirmed that the game is sold out already? Because if it doesn't sell out, then it will be blacked out in the San Diego and Los Angeles DMA's. (BTW, the game is actually on ESPN; CBS in SD will simulcast the ESPN feed).
EDIT: according to the SD Union-Tribune, about 2,500 tix remain. So it appears it has a decent chance of selling out.

OTH is closing on GG in W18-34 as well. Wonder what Ostroff is thinking when she sees her baby show getting beaten by a show that didn't have a full season order before the premiere, week after week
Heroes now down to 5.5 millions? My oh my, what a disaster. Nice bumps for Men and BBT. BBT is having a horrible season quality wise but it clearly doeasn't impact the ratings

My CBS HD channel also shows the Chargers game, not just the SD channel.
They *will* sell out this game--worst case, businesses will buy the tickets once again to avoid the blackout.

My wife and I watch the CBS comedies every week so I'll be sure to pass along the information about the start/stop times for at least 2.5M/BBT/CSIM. I think I'll watch the other 2 comedies on Tuesday since I've got to work the next day.
