Power of 10 crushed Singing Bee, although to be fair it was a repeat. Just for Laughs is also starting to lose steam, but the original did grow out of the repeat by a decent amount. Imagine if ABC had went ahead and aired Jim repeats as the lead in! I suspect this could end up in the Tuesday 8pm slot with Jim by January.

BB gets the highest 18-49's of the night...CBS must be smiling about that (I fully suspect a renewal for BB9 pretty soon for next summer, and who knows what could happen if it looks like it'll be a prolonged writer's strike)...I just wonder why the dip in the 2nd half-hour (TBL maybe?).

And based on the show, I fully suspect the America's Player vote will force Eric to vote Jess out Thursday-A lot of AP voters are Dick/Dani fans from what I've seen, and they think Jess is probably the last major threat to at least one of them making final 2. The double eviction that night could mess things up though-especially if Eric can get HOH. If he doesn't, he's gone (with $40K) unless he gets POV...

I wish I had your faith that Eric will be forced to vote out Jess for the huge entertainment value of his nervous breakdown...HOWEVER...I firmly believe young teenage girls are controlling the AP vote and based on recents votes like Eric having to kiss Jess rather than Dani I think they don't want to wreck his showmance.

P.S.MUSHU JJ Thanks for defending BB to that knucklehead who called the show dorky the other day. BB is an awesome show and I'm glad its on every summer.

Considering that Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? and Don't Forget the Lyrics did 6.6 million and 6.1 million with reruns last Thursday, Singing Bee looks weak, at least in comparison.

Well if he is forced to vote Jess, Eric will likely get some sort of heads-up by the Diary Room people today-so he can do some damage control with Jess. So the expected "shock" Dick/Dani expect when Jess goes may not happen, and Eric may not be flustered when HOH comes that night. And if Eric wins POV (not HOH) and D/D/Zach can't get rid of him, they'll cut Jameka (The HOH occuring during Thursday's "week in an hour" double eviction ep is the last one she has to sit out, so she's no longer going to be useful to keep for that reason).

Has anyone seen overnight or national numbers for The Academy and Jail on MyNetworkTV last night.

Jail was the first new series to debut as part of the 2007-08 fall season.

No thank-you AC. Also, I wonder if Big Brother will allow Eric to vote out Jameka anyway. They allow him to basically choose on the other ones.

I can't believe that no one in the BB house realizes that a double eviction is coming.

I think they are really not the brightest bunch to tell ya. Eric seems to be realitvely smart and so does Dick, but Jessica and Danielle seem clueless on a lot of things. Amber and Jameka have been in their own little world and Zach is the biggest loser in Big Brother history.

Ok..not to sound like a pest or anything, but does anyone know where would be a good place to get the final ratings for the week of Aug. 27th? Abcmedianet.com posted information based on the whole week, but they did not do it separately, show by show, as they usually do. Any help on this would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Peace!!

I don't think Eric's been allowed to choose at all. He goes into the diary room to talk to Julie, but has never voted. It'll be interesting to see if America does in fact choose Jessica. He will freak out!! I am officially done with Eric, especially after he made the rude comment about Janelle. I hope he has to vote out Jessica and Daniele and Dick vote for Jameka. That will definitely stir things up!

They think the show is ending on the 25th, not the 18th is the main reason (Their contracts according to them, said they had to be available to the show until the 30th from what I've heard, and they know it's usually ended on a Tuesday). They also think that if there was going to be a double eviction, it would have happened last week, not this week.

I am still trying to track down precise HH, share, viewer and demo numbers, but last nights premiere of "Jail" was the highest rated program in the history of MyNetworkTV. It beat ABC, CBS and FOX in selected demos (the press release doesn't even mention The CW, so low were their ratings last night). And the first half of Crimetime Tuesdays, "The Academy", which is an encore from FOX REALITY, also did very well. As I come up with more detailed national numbers, I shall provide updates.

Excerpts from an affiliate-generated press release:

quote:

TUESDAY’S PREMIERE ON MY 27 WAS THE HIGHEST OF ANY PROGRAM IN MY NETWORK TV HISTORY!
