I've been a little hard on the series, but realistically I think it has until November sweeps. When that rolls around, they will do a special 2 hour episode of ANTM or something to plug the hole and then GG will be gone. So it won't be gone immediately, but I'd be shocked to see it go past 4 or 5 more episodes.

I don't think a cancellation is coming this soon. Maybe naive of me, but just my opinion...
One thing that could help Gossip Girl is if CW pulls a FOX-Melrose Place-type casting. The show is not doing well, so hire a name. Someone you could promote as being the new vixen of the show or something. Perhaps someone like a Heather Locklear or even someone younger, but that many people know (Adam Brody or someone else from THE OC)...Some kind of stunt casting could help attract at the very least, an extra million or so.
Would you be able to post half-hours for the full NBC line-up? Last week DOND and BW had appreciable half-hour increases...it would be interesting to see if the pattern repeated, and how well "Life" followed up...
KN is killing CBS, in the demo, on Wednesdays, in a similar fashion to what Jericho did last spring. I'm not sure what the solutuion is there. TAR would be a slight improvment in the demo, but honestly not a drastic one.
Well, next week may be the key week for Kid Nation. If it continues to slide, it may be time to move the show (Not cancel).
The last 2 weeks have been tough with all the premieres against it, but now is the time to find out what viewers are settling in for.
Power of 10 would be the easy quick fix, but going against DoND, it may not do much better.
Of course, there is always the CSI Repeats, but perhaps trying BBT with Rules in that hour might give it a little extra exposure for Monday nights.

I'll bet you a $1 new eps are on well into 2008....
The OC, 90210 and a bunch of other teen shows took time to find an audience...
Plus... it should get some help in the +3 +7 with girls watching Private Practice and recording gossip girl...
It's a LONG way from being a hit or even successful but it's not going anywhere anytime soon....
Lets see what it does next week, now that all of the shows have had their premieres.

Although it took this third episode, Back to You was absolutely hilarious last night. Glad to see Pushing Daisies did well. Not surprised by Bionic's drop -- I thought the pilot was boring -- but this episode seemed more promising.
Looks like Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are going to have to go "Back to the Drawing Board." This is Levitan's fifth and Lloyd's third flop in a row. Then again, miniscule ratings haven't made "'Til Death" dead yet.
ABC might really have something with "Dirty Sexy Money" (which isn't a bad show at all). How many freshman shows this season have held 100% of their premiere week demo number? This one, that's how many.
Nice performance from "Pushing Daisies." As for the show, it's a treat to look at -- and best enjoyed with the TV on mute.
Pushing Daisies and 'Til Death were the only two shows on in that did jump significantly at 8:30pm from what their network had on at 8pm (both had slight 0.1 up-ticks compared to 0.7 on Kid Nation, 0.4 on Deal or No Deal and 0.4 for ANTM). The viewership story is similar, where PD grew about 100K and 'Til Death dropped about 300K from Back to You, Kid Nation was up 1.3M, DOND was up 1.8M and ANTM was up 1M.
My alarmist instinct is to say this is a bad sign for PD (and Til Death) because of increasing HUT levels, but I also wonder if the three shows that increased being reality/competition shows has more to do with it.

My guess is that by November sweeps CBS pushes Kid Nation off to Saturday nights to burn off the remaining episodes, and they put repeats of crime dramas in the Wednesday 8PM timeslot until January. I think they will also remove Cain by November, but who knows what they will do in that timeslot. There does not seem to be a good spot to put Power of 10. Wednesdays at 8PM is no good b/c it would be up against NBCs Deal or No Deal. Sundays at 8PM is a possibility though.

Nope.... it can continue to drop and it isn't going anywhere.... it will limp it's way to Jan and then suddenly be a hit paired with AI.
