10:02pm. We will see a drop in final nationals. I wonder if the Criminal Minds increase can be attributed to it not being the premieres of BW/PP or to the advertising leading up to "Mandy Patinkin's Final Episode". I barely watch anything on CBS and I knew it was his exit this week.
Probably both, but i'm sure CM will stick at around 14 million for the next weeks
Didn't last night's "Criminal Minds" deal with Mandy Patinkin's departure from the show? If so, I'm sure CBS promoted it heavily. It probably received an artificially high number for that reason, as did last week's "CSI" which dealt with the fate of one of their main characters.

Those numbers really tell the story. ANTM is gaining viewers in the last half hour which shows interest in the show. GG is another story as people are turning it off midway through and choosing to do something else. It's never a good sign when people turn off the show mid way through. quote: Originally posted by Marc Berman: Top Model 8:00 p.m. V: 4.03 million, A18-49: 2.0/ 6 8:30 p.m. V: 5.02 million, A18-49: 2.4/ 7 Gossip Girl 9:00 p.m. V: 3.02 million, A18-49: 1.4/ 4 9:30 p.m. V: 2.57 million, A18-49: 1.1/ 3 quote: Originally posted by wenart25: Marc, could you please post the half-hour breakdowns for both ANTM and Gossip Girl? KN is killing CBS on Wednesdays in a similar fashion to what Jericho did last spring. I'm not sure what the solutuion is there. TAR would be a slight improvment in the demo, but honestly not a drastic one.
Are you kidding. When you see the numbers all week, 14.5 million for CM seems great. I think CM will be one of very few shows that will bring more viewers than last season.
Look, I like CM, but there is little evidence that it is going to be stronger than last season.. Yes, it will do well in total viewers and will repeat well. Still, it is hard to deny that it is off to a pretty slow start compared to last season when it was going head to head with Lost and making progress.

I would await the preems of Women's Murder Club, Life is Wild, Viva Laughlin and Samantha Who? before making it official about no breakthroughs?
The only one with a chance is Samantha Who?

Deal or No Deal seems to be making a bit of a rebound now that everything's settled down, especially in viewers. The rest of Bionic Wednesday completely tanked in the demo, though at least Life kept about 90% of its viewership week-to-week.
Not sure how much demo DSM will lose from the PP overrun, but the fact that it retained almost all of its demo from its premiere is pretty impressive. Obviously need to see Week 2 of Pushing, but the ABC Wednesday looks a lot steadier than NBC's.
Obviously it's all semantic since Gossip Girl is still a huge disappointment regardless, but it did manage to pick up 250K while its lead-in lost 300K. It's still probably dead, but at least the spiral didn't continue.

Thanks Marc. That's a pretty big drop. quote: Originally posted by Marc Berman: Dirty Sexy Money 10:00 p.m. V: 10.51 million, A18-49: 3.8/10 10:30 p.m. V: 8.95 million, A18-49: 3.3/ 9 quote: Originally posted by crateriko: Marc, when you get the chance, can you provide half-hour breakdown of Dirty Sexy Money? we'll wait and see, but last week was not that good beacause it went against 2 overhyped premieres. from now on i don't see it losing many viewers. i don't think patinkin leaving will hurt the show that much

That's a huge drop for Dirty Sexy Money. They surely don't want to see that every week.

Ya know what......I see that Gossip Girl is clearly a loser in the ratings, but I still think CW is going to keep it on the air for quite a while. Nothing new they have premiered has really been outstanding (including Reaper) in terms of ratings, and they only have 2 or 3 shows that are decent on the schedule. I don't think a cancellation is coming this soon. Maybe naive of me, but just my opinion...

That looks like HUGE drop off at the half hour. I wonder if there is a future for this show.

It seems ABC has a very solid night. I loved Pushing Daisies and it did better then I thought. Private Practice held up much betetr then I thought. The show was much better then last week. Marc do you have a half hour breakdown of Daisies/Practice? The one thing they need to fix with Practice while find it's rhythm they need to ditch Audra McDonald. She does not fit with the cast. DSM held all of it's demo and the drop was not so bad. I want more people to watch the show. It is one of my favorites. It is not crashing and burning. Lets remember how bad the Nine crashed and burned with a huge Lost lead-in. I hate how people are comparing it to the Nine. A year ago that was the Nine's premiere and it was leading a much bigger Lost. If ABC Wednesday's continue to be solid, now the big question is where does Lost go? Marc wouldn't it be amazing if ABC put Lost post Grey's on Thursday's at 10pm. That would be the highest lead-out for Grey's ever.

Even though DSM's drop off is big, let's remember that the # is inflated at 10 PM because it started late. So really, it didn't do all that well, but retention is still better than what these #s would indicate.
