quote: Top Chef (Bravo, 10pm, 76 minutes, season finale) - 3.079 million viewers - 2.0/3 HH - 1.7/5 A18-49
Nice to see a good turnout for the season finale. The better chef won. This season's chef were better than anyother, but the finalists in season 1 is still the strongest chefs. Can't wait for Top Chef Chicago!!!

Maybe it was the 10PM timeslot or the AI influence, but maybe viewership will rebound this season.
While total average viewers were down but the 18-49 demo was actually up from season 1 and at the same level at season 2. So demographically it is at the same level. The series low was Lost in 18-49 was a 5.0. It consistently did mid 5s and 6s. This season the only shows I see consistently getting 5s in the demo are CSI, Heroes, Grey's, DH, House, Idol, Dancing( Monday editions) and maybe 24. So Lost coming back would be a huge improvement for ABC.

Not only beacause it was the best show but also as a reward for everything the producers, the cast members and everyone wotking on the show have gone through in the last couple of months. And i must say the writers did an excellent job on ending Patinkin's storyline on the show given the little amount of time for which Patinkin accepted to return . Good job.
It apperars that was one of the options the writers presented to Patinkin but he refused.
I don't know why Patinkin who is just an actor on the show is making decisions on key story issues.

I'm delighted to see Pushing Daisies starting strong. It was the best of the 2007 pilots. I just hope it can hold onto people in the weeks ahead.

I didn't like Hung's attitude during the show, but boy had skills and wasn't nearly as "evil" a "villain" as Marcel. Which is part of why this season was more boring than Season 2 (see also: no double eliminations and a do-over round... cycle just ran too long). In any case, I liked Casey, wish she'd won. She'll probably win the Viewer's Favorite consolation prize. But she did screw up the final meal so I completely understand her not winning the title. quote: Originally posted by TV-aholic: quote: Top Chef (Bravo, 10pm, 76 minutes, season finale) - 3.079 million viewers - 2.0/3 HH - 1.7/5 A18-49

Pushing Daisies had a very 'Dead Like Me' feel to it although its not as good as Dead Like Me but it has the potential. They need to be careful to not get too carried away with the procedural stuff or it will drag the whole show down.

Seeing the final numbers posted, Kitchen Nightmares has quite the comeback. I thought it was down and out, but it look like it can rebound nicely. Now they just have to find something that can be a good companion to it.

I completely agree. It's going to drop fast. quote: Originally posted by Carrie: I think there is going to be a huge drop in the numbers for Pushing Daisies next week. It seems people either loved it or hated it, and although I liked the show, many I've spoken to hated it.

I love the idea of pairing ANTM with SN. It provides a nice contrast. I also like SV paired with Reaper. A very well thought out schedule. quote: Originally posted by TPlums: Since we're on the CW once again, I thought I would try my hand at a little scheduling. I posted this in the CW forum, but I don't know how often people read that.
Anyway, what I did was look at the current CW schedule and tried to find shows to build three (Wed, Thurs, Fri) strong nights, by CW standards. The hope is to use these nights to remain in business and then try to add more next season. Monday - No Changes Everybody Hates Chris Aliens in America Girlfriends The Game
Tuesday Gossip Girl One Tree Hill
The hope is to at least maintain the current Tuesday levels, maybe build. Could be difficult when American Idol returns, but being a girls night on Tuesday might work until then.
It would face until then -
NBC 8:00p.m. THE SINGING BEE 8:30 p.m. The Biggest Loser
ABC 8:00 p.m. CAVEMEN 8:30 p.m. CARPOOLERS 9:00 p.m. Dancing With the Stars Results CBS 8:00 p.m. NCIS 9:00 p.m. The Unit FOX 8:00 p.m. BONES 9:00 p.m. HOUSE Wednesday
America's Next Top Model Supernatural
First remember we are building 3 strong nights, This is night number one. Supernatural was strong in season 1 (post Gilmore Girls) which leads me to believe that there is a strong female following that is being taken away by Grey's on Thursday. The numbers won't drop due to a strong fan following. The CW would just be putting it in a better position, away from Grey's and CSI, to grow.
It would face.
NBC 8:00 p.m. Deal or No Deal 9:00 p.m. THE BIONIC WOMAN
ABC 8:00 p.m. PUSHING DAISIES 9:00 p.m. PRIVATE PRACTICE
CBS 8:00 p.m. Kid Nation 9:00 p.m. Criminal Minds
Fox 8:00 p.m. BACK TO YOU 8:30 p.m. ’TIL DEATH 9:00 p.m. KITCHEN NIGHTMARES
Thursday
Smallville Reaper
Will be a strong night for the male demos, and will be better counter programming for Grey's. It should be able to pull in the 3.5 million Supernatural pulls is with the stronger lead in Smallville will provide. Friday
WWE Smackdown
Sunday
CW Now Online Nation Life Is Wild America's Next Top Model (repeat)
Before you crucify me, remember that I was trying to be proactive and think of things differently than what most others have posted.
So, what do you think?

Even if ratings drop by 20% it will still be a successful show.

A 20% drop would be losing 2.6 million viewers and putting it at 10.4 Million viewers. Would hard to spin that as a positive.

And it will be a 3.5 in the demo. Ugly Betty gets those kind of numbers and is considered a hit.
