Reaper is a hit in my books for The CW. Dont cancel it CW, you would be stupid to.
SVU's episode was pretty good last night, but had kind of low numbers. Was that due to the TERRIBLE lead in, or WMC?
ATJ last night was pretty funny. Terrible numbers, but anything else would probably do bad there. So ABC has ATJ to throw in a hard time slot.
BTW totaleclipse,
Moonlight pulls the same numbers but yet M should be renewed and WMC shouldnt?
WMC does not have the rabid fan base that Moonlight does. I guess that counts.

Bye-bye WMC. We won't miss ya one bit! I'm shocked that SVU didn't post higher than 12 mil. After all, Robin Williams is still a household name (even if I personally can't stand him!). Despite of his appearance, it was an excellent ep, with wonderful performances by Chris Meloni and the departing Diane Neal.
You're very objective. So you think that a show like Moonlight should survive although it's getting 7-8 million viewers and a show like WMC that it's getting 8-9 million should be canceled. And let's not forget Moonlight airs sandwiched between two 10 million shows
You're not crowned the king of spins 2008. Check out the demos. 1.9 for WMC, in the middle of the week. Pretty lame, I'd say. And once again, you're taking things out of context. WMC is measured against BL (which spot it's occupying). As someone else already noted, WMC's performance pretty much guaranteed BL's return. Not to mention Moonlight airs Friday, WMC's numbers were for Tuesday. Apples and oranges. But spin it as much as you like. WMC failed last night, and pretty miserably.
Read carefully what i write. I'm not comparing yesterday's result. I'm comparing what those two shows have done on Fridays. As far as i know ABC has nothing on Fridays so there are plenty of slots for WMC. And please don't compare WMC's numbers with Moonlight's numbers on fridays beacause Moonlight loses on every level. WMC has soundly beaten Moonlight in viewers and it has done similar numbers in demos although WMC does not have a 10 million lead-in. I understand why you're promoting the cancelation of WMC. You hope Moonlight won't be beaten if it returns next year.
Get your facts straight. WMC has been beaten by Moonlight consistently - and exactly where it hurts, in the demos. Check out this link: WMC's performanceSee the awful demos? and the fact is, WMC never even topped ABC's ranking for the night, it's just that much of a loser! Your hatred for Moonlight blinds you. I, however, am not a fan of Reaper, for example, nor am I a fan of BL (in fact, I am know to despise the show). But I can objectively rule that both shows merit renewal in the specific context they're discussed.
Oh i hate Moonlight and I have 20/20 vision.
And that comes from a guy that used to like Buffy. I loved Buffy and Angel but Moonlight is an awesome show and it has a lot of potential by showing the 2 lead vampires pevious lifes as vampires. Tell me how the hell can you hate Moonlight but love Buffy. It does not make sense at all
Um well Buffy was hot and i dont like guys so you do the math.
Well that is just the most stupid and childish comment i have seen in along time. So you tell me you don't like Moonlight because of a guy vampire show. Let me ask you this did you hate Angel also on the show then? And what about the show Angel?

Moonlight has to be setting a record for the most comments about a marginal show. Not even Friday, yet. Wait until Saturday's forum.

No that would be Supernatural - for this year.

No, WMC holds about 2/3rds in viewers and 50% in demo. that is better than most of the ABC shows because people don't like watching soaps twice. Meanwhile, if Eli Stone can air reruns without losing any viewers, its viewer level will be about the same as WMC. So, what do you suppose the chances of Eli Stone not losing any viewers in repeats are?

The one thing WMC has going for itself vs. Eli Stone and the other 'soaps' is that WMC has more repeat value. ABC is very short on programs that can repeat well, so that may be the edge that WMC needs.
WMC only seems to repeat well because it rates so poorly on original airings.
WMC does well in viewers. Period. In repeats it does better than Moonlight, but that's really not that hard to do since Moonshite is a serialized show to some extent. The problem is that the demos are not real hot in first run, but they really don't drop much in second run.

Trust me it has definetely gotten better
Why? Did the guy suddenly learn how to act or suddenly learn to generate an interesting vibe? I don't care if you think the scripts got better or the plotline became more involved. Those things don't adress my main problem with the show: a lousy lead.

Ugh to think we're wasting time talking about some piece of slop that won't last past season two, if it even gets season two. Wait, are we talking about Veronica Mars again?

How can you say something like this? 8-9 millions on fridays does not mean poorly by any standard. I'm not saying it's a hit (although some are saying The office it is and both shows are watched by pretty much the same number of individuals) but it's not a failure also

CBS is busy showing him shirtless on their ads or lettin a little chest hair show. Perhaps if the female lead got a bit hotter (perhaps CBS could develop a makeover reality show for her), then I could at least watch it on mute. Everyone loves beautiful people.

Moonlight won the demo everytime and you know that. Just look arround in the archive and you will see Moonlight won the demo everytime except the premiere episode of WMC
It won overall 18-49s. On a night like Friday, women 25-54 are probably as important and I'm sure WMC does well in those.

Is Moonlight like Supernatural: a show where the fanbase actively lobbies against female characters?

Same with Supernatural (Which does close in the adults 18-48, but still slightly lower, and much, much worse in the adults 18-34). And SN has only been saved due to the fact that it performs much better overseas then in the US.
Get your facts straight SN has always performed good on the CW. Except last week of course. Otherwise it has always performed modest ands good against powerhouse CSI and Greys
The delusional spin continues! I love it. My show is better than your show. And your show trumps show C and show C is better than show F...

I don't know, but one helluva hot female is one of the only ways left for me to put up with the bloodsucker.

Sounds like a good enough reason for me. I watch Paradise Hotel because they're hot. I don't watch Flavor of Love because they're not hot.
