IMO both Shark and WMC should be renwed, these are 2 shows that didn't drop after the strike like most shows

You're funny. In your opinion a 10 million+ show like Shark is a loser? Yeah right, we get hundreds of 10million + shows these days

both should be cancelled...both are losers

WMC is gonna drop even lower since DWTS ran over a few minutes. Probably below 8 million and a 1.7. This is over 2.5 million less than BL.

WMC is done. BL is safer. Eli has a shot. But knowing how ABC makes decisions... that might be completely reversed.

I don't list repeats as losers.

Zitrone, where did you learn that Aliens in America was cancelled? Has there been an announcement?

Move BL back to Tuesday next week. WMC last night sealed BL's renewal.

I was kinda shocked that Simon said that Syesha was in trouble -- she clearly did the best last night and I am not really that big of a fan of hers. And according to dialidol.com -- she actually came in at number 1 -- leaving archeleta in yikes third place....

Is there any hope for Reaper? I wish it had a better lead in -- like Supernatural....

What to make of that?

WMC did worse than Boston Legal despite skewing female just like its lead in. The show belongs on a Friday at best. This was a stupid move overall.

when did the unit ever get a demo that was that low? in repeats it was getting 1.6-1.9 demos...

new episodes were in the high 2s - low 3s and it faced juggernaut "house"....big difference imo

Agreed. And there were some weeks NCIS did as little as 3.0 and THE UNIT was still high 2's.

I think SHARK needed a minimum of 2.5 and growth next week to stay in the ballgame.

I expect SHARK to be cancelled but THE UNIT is not in the clear yet either.

I'm shocked that SVU didn't post higher than 12 mil. After all, Robin Williams is still a household name (even if I personally can't stand him!). Despite of his appearance, it was an excellent ep, with wonderful performances by Chris Meloni and the departing Diane Neal.

Surprised at the SVU # as well. Maybe WMC hurt it Wink

It was a fascinating ep and I'm glad they gave Neal a good chunk of the action as she departs.

You're very objective.

So you think that a show like Moonlight should survive although it's getting 7-8 million viewers and a show like WMC that it's getting 8-9 million should be canceled. And let's not forget Moonlight airs sandwiched between two 10 million shows

WMC: This was not a good result. The slot will be a bit easier in the next couple weeks without Robin Williams and CSI, but not much. It could rebound, but it's not going to rebound by the amount it likely needs to.

Shark: Probably neutral at best. It's way down from The Unit (which was facing House), but that's coming out of a diminished NCIS as well. Its demo drops look similar to the drops out of Cold Case, drops which I thought merited cancellation, but in a tougher slot than Sun 10pm was. Ultimately, I think it needed a better-than-neutral result and is probably done.

Hell's Kitchen: I'm interested to see if having a couple months post-Idol benefits the rest of this cycle, as well as the next cycle, presumably in Summer 2009.

Reaper: What a roller coaster this show has been creatively. As far as renewal, it is a fascinating case, with some compelling reasons in both directions. It has lead-in build and repeatability on its side, and demos (specifically 18-34) squarely not on its side.

No announcement but two of the main actors have signed on other series for next year so... (like Cane)
