ES hold pretty well, Abc will give ES another chance after a DH episode

I believe the fact that it will have Greys as a lead in, its best lead in ever, that it will easily hold these 11 million or so with another 3 to 4 million DVRing each week like now.

I doubt anyone will start watching Lost after 3 years beacause GA is aired before it.

Are you saying b/c it's ratings are going down, so is its quality? Are you correlating its ratings to its quality? And who are you hearing it sucks from?

Ouch Lost. It is lowering each week, after Grey's at 10pm it will be even worse.

Lipstick Jungle was only up this week due to basketball. I don't know how people can think Lost will fall below 10 million when Greys becomes its lead in.

How well did Big Shots do with Grey's as it's lead in?

Grey's is mainly female watched show, Big Shots had all good looking men in a sexual soap. If that couldn't hold the Grey's audience why would a good chunk of Grey's viewers stay at 10pm to all of a sudden start watching confusing Lost already in it's 4th season?

Also Grey's viewers at this point don't even like Grey's. The ratings are dropping. Heigl even was trashing the writing and she's on the show. Grey's is in survival mode trying to rebound themselves and not go as low as Lost.

It certainly won't hurt it and believe it or not, this is my FIRST season watching the show and I've caught on just fine. Those who say its too complicated are delusional imo.

Big Shots sucked. That's why no one stuck around. Men in Trees and October Road did alright behind it last year.

No, it didn't lose quite as much when you include the Live+7, but it still lost nearly 3 million viewers in one month with little competition.

Just like any other show on the planet..

CSI lost 5 million viewers in just ONE WEEK.

Season Premiere: 25.22
Second Episode: 20.97

The drop in the demo was even worse with 22% in the second week and 26% in the third week.

I agree that Lost's audience isn't compatible with Grey's. But the reason Big Shots dropped so much was b/c it was a HORRIBLE show.

Well stated. These shows tend to fluxuate a lot and I believe Lost was in this range last year too.

Isn't 3.41 million a series low? Smallville always falls in the spring because they go Clark and Lana heavy, but wow.

Lana was only on about 5 minutes total. I was wondering where she disapeared to.

I'm surprised too, it was a very good episode - not sure where all the fans went.

Watched a bit of MG, ehh

"Smallville" was good last night! Supergirl's memory came back. I think the viewers dropped because of the NCAA Tournaments.

Funny that Heigl said the writing sucks. I think she's the reason the show stinks lately. Her character, not to mention her in real life, is extremely annoying.

lost is now at survivor demo levels...except that show is 16 seasons to losts' 4...and correct me if im wrong but heroes has never gone below a 4.6 demos...so lost in my book is weaker then heroes...(considering lost faced repeats while heroes faced 2.5 men and dwts)

as for lipstick jungle...i would say it was a winner...not a loser...up in ratings/demos/viewers with a so-so lead-in...

Miss Guided (ABC), Lipstick Jungle (NBC)

In time period premiere news, the results were not positive for ABC sitcom Miss Guided, which aired in back-to-back episodes from 8-9 p.m. Take a look:

Miss Guided (ABC)
8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 6.34 million (#4), A18-49: 2.1/ 7 (#2t) – time period premiere
8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 6.34 million (#4), A18-49: 2.3/ 7 (#3)

On average, the two episodes of Miss Guided were down by a massive 4.07 million viewers and 31 percent among adults 18-49 from regularly scheduled occupant Ugly Betty on the year-ago evening (Viewers: 10.41 million; A18-49: 3.2/10 on March 22, 2007).

At 10 p.m., ABC’s on-the-fence Eli Stone finished first in total viewers (7.54 million) and third among adults 18-49 (2.5/ 7). The season ( or series) finale of NBC’s Lipstick Jungle was third in total viewers (7.09 million) and second among adults 18-49 (2.6/ 7).

I think the results for Miss/Guided were really quite good, especially for an ABC comedy in the 8-9 pm hour:
  • the two episodes did better than the Lost enhanced encores were doing in the same timeslot;
  • the two episodes retained 68% of their Tuesday launch viewership (inflated by a large lead-in) and 81% of the Tuesday young adult demo;
  • the young adult demo grew over the two episodes, while the viewership remained constant;
  • the series is well-written, acted and highly amusing, and has received good critical feedback.

Also, with regards to Lipstick Jungle, I had read somewhere that NBC has picked up an additional six episodes of the series (or was it merely a script order?).

I love "Lost" but these numbers aren't exactly going in the right direction:

date: total viewers, 18-49 ratings/share

1/31 16.14 mil 6.7/17
2/7 15.29 mil 6.5/16
2/14 13.76 mil 5.8/15
2/21 13.65 mil 5.7/13
2/28 12.89 mil 5.4.13
3/6 13.00 mil 5.5/13
3/13 12.08 mil 4.8/13
3/20 11.3 mil 4.4/12

Lets wait if Heroes can reach a fourth season and then we talk.

Good for Reaper. They need this little run of good performance to try and cinch up renewal. If they do it for much longer, they may just get that Thursday spot from here on out. Smallville usually goes up in the finals, though even with an uptick, that number is still low. Only silver lining to Smallville is its time delayed numbers. For as bad as Smallville is performing, it was still the 2nd most watched show on The CW last week, although it looks like ANTM will reclaim that slot this week.

Celebrity Apprentice is almost gone, thank god. Please let it never come back. Add in the Bachelor to that.

Lost is what it is. It is not revolutionary TV anymore and fans are still looking for storylines to come together. It will probably settle around 9-10 million until it is over the next couple of years.
