Pretty smart idea, if you ask me. Dexter may have name recognition amongst people like us, but 99% of the public has no idea it's on. Even if CBS airs repeats, it'll almost be like new programming.
NBC is supposed to be considering the same thing, and I'm betting that ABC is taking a long look at Disney right now. Does Fox have any sister stations as such?
I forgot about FX. I can't see them taking from FNC unless they get really desperate, though. Imagine, the reincarnation of Temptation Island, to be followed by The O'Reilley Factor, this Wednesday on Fox!

Hmm... not so much.
Fox did have an intriguing primetime newsmagazine called the Pulse once. It was hosted by Shepherd Smith and was really quite good. The problem was it was buried on what when then a very deadly Thursday night for Fox at 9pm with no lead in.

Also, next week's premiere of Duel will air for 90 minutes, and Samantha Who?'s new episode will be saved for later.
I'm guessing we'll be seeing the midseason schedule hopefully later today.
Good idea to save a new Samantha Who for when it can have a better shot to get good ratings.
Now that I've seen actual footage of Duel, I'm interested -- it looks better than the Choirs show on NBC... And I like Mike Greenberg.

"Big Shots" downsized at ABC
By Nellie Andreeva Tue Dec 11, 6:34 AM ET
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In a surprising move as the Hollywood writers strike depletes networks' stocks of fresh programming, ABC has benched freshman comedy-drama "Big Shots," a low-rated male version of "Desperate Housewives." ADVERTISEMENT
The network has pulled the remaining three original episodes of the series starring Michael Vartan, Dylan McDermott, Christopher Titus and Joshua Malina.
It will air repeats of the rookie medical drama "Private Practice," in the coveted Thursday 10 p.m. slot behind "Grey's Anatomy" for the rest of the year.
"Shots" was greeted with mixed reviews and cold reception by viewers. Still, given the dearth of original scripted programming as the strike drags into the new year, the networks have tended to prolong the lives of shows that under normal circumstances would have been canceled.
The promos are good enough where this show will definitely get a sampling. If this show delivers, it's going to score very well.

I have a feeling this show will do OK, while NBC's Clash of the Choirs will bomb. I know I will give Duel a shot.
I like Greeny too, and I like game shows, but I'm worried about any show that takes 90 minutes to show us what they were previously planning to show us in 60.

Yes I am to some extent too, but this looks like the best gameshow ABC has premiered in a while.
