And it remains the 3rd most watched season of AR, with only season 6 and 7 averaging more viewers.

And its one of the few CBS shows to show year to year gains for this season (hell its one of the few shows overall with year to year gains).

So a nice thank you to CBS in there infinite wisdom for not green lighting 2 cycles. After all, its not like you didn't think a strike might happen and might need some descent performers from reality/ game/ and news shows to help.

And while they did finally green light season 13. If filming doesn't start in January it won't be finished in time for a late march start to finish out the regular season (though they could run it during the summer to what should be a considerable smaller audience.

That is what I think. If it is ready by say the middle of April, go ahead and start it anyways. You would have 6 weeks of it during the season and then conclude it in early June. I'm not sure if there is an issue with the advertisers given the show concluding after the season?

I wonder if CBS will do a Summer Big Brother or skip the show forward to the Summer of 2009?

With the strike looking like it might go on forever, I think we might just see a year round edition of Big Brother. Just lock a bunch of people in a house for a whole year. It would give CBS fresh programming and for Les Moonves it would keep Julie Chen out of the house more.

Everything I've heard says the summer Big Brother will still happen.

and I think TAR could be ready for Mid-March so they could still have the finale in May.

This sort of thing would've been perfect on Thanksgiving Eve when the older folks are home.

I didn't watch it, but I did record it and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

ABC.COM LAUNCHES "MEET ME ON OCTOBER ROAD" MICROSITE, WHERE FANS CAN POST THEIR OWN STORIES

What if you could reach out to someone you lost touch with a lifetime ago? Would you take the risk? Now you can. "October Road," the critically acclaimed drama exploring ties between residents of a small town who were once close teenage friends, now has a microsite on ABC.com. "Meet Me on October Road" is a whimsical and engaging feature which allows fans to share their own stories of lost loves and friendships.

From the "October Road" home page, visitors can click on a link to take them to the "Meet Me on October Road" microsite. A short introduction floats over an autumn scene on a winding New England road, culminating with a video clip of Nick and Hannah (Bryan Greenberg and Laura Prepon) struggling with their own reconnection -- and invites visitors to submit their stories.

Although Nick and Hannah have a new opportunity to fall in love again, most of us never will. But the desire to rekindle those past connections remains strong. To post your story, simply register and provide basic information. Postings may be browsed without registration.

Postings take the form of autumn leaves, each with a unique tale, each with a powerful connection to the romantic in us all, allowing fans to ponder the question posed by the show: "Can you ever really go home again?"

The funny thing is, this will probably have more visitors than "October Road" has viewers.

I agree.

Well so far in the shows history, the producers do a dry run of the entire trip (thats usually 24-30 days), get all the planning done, casting which takes time, though they could save some by using previous casting sessions (that usually happens for at least one team each seasons some times several). Then they get it going. usually close to a week for final casting where the have like 26 teams doing checks interviews and then finally making their choices, then them starting the race. And thats another 24-30 days.

So they really need to get teams out of the gate at the latest by the end of January. That would have them finished end of February first start of March and a few weeks for quickly edited footage and the story arcs of each team.

And that is one of the reasons they can't edit a lot on the fly. They might find a team fascinating that they think will make it far and they get eliminated.

They were there watching it. A 3.2 demo for 12 million is fairly older skewing.

There hasn't been a year round edition of Big Brother in the US? In Germany we already had 2 year round editions with rather bad ratings. Therefore our last two BB seasons were shortened to 6 months leading to better ratings.

Since it didn't work in Germany it isn't likely that CBS is gonna make such a move...

I believe I already saw an ad, asking for people to audition for TAR 13 last month on cbs.com So casting could be done by the end of January. Making it a better posibility that TAR 13 would still air this season.

Nope, it has always been July-September. Never has aired outside of the summer. This will be the first such edition.

Please tell what is this crap about CBS taking some of showtimes best shows incl Dexter. It is reruns right or i don't know what anymore and can only be desribed as the dumbest idea ever.
I ask because the articles about this is really unclear on that matter.

Pretty smart idea, if you ask me. Dexter may have name recognition amongst people like us, but 99% of the public has no idea it's on. Even if CBS airs repeats, it'll almost be like new programming.

NBC is supposed to be considering the same thing, and I'm betting that ABC is taking a long look at Disney right now. Does Fox have any sister stations as such?

So it is repeats for us i am relieved about that.
I really find it weird that the articles about the subject isn't making it clear for the people that they are planning on running reruns from showtime but new to CBS.
They make the people worry by not making it totally clear to us that it is reruns they are planning to air.
If you look at various message boards they all seem to think they are stopping the shows on showtime. Because every article on the matter says "showtime shows moving to CBS" Very misleading headlines if it is reruns of showtime they will air.
I really don't know why the articles would do that is it because they want to spin it negative so the fans worry

ABC could also be looking at ESPN,Lifetime, and ABC Family as well as Disney if this strike goes on. As for Fox, they could air F/X programming as well as programs from the Fox News Channel I suppose.
