Dawn Wells, the actress that played Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island," was busted with marijuana in her car after driving home from her birthday party -- and she's 69!

CL would be a nice companion piece with Bones on Friday Nights. Very Compatible.

They should have it face off against Moonlight.

They may, however, have a better placeholder for the timeslot than SCC is ever likely to be, given that even a two hour season finale couldn't do much better in the demo, and did worse in total viewers.

Except NA will keep falling, this was the Monday premiere. And the demo is just bad.

NA is gone next year, SCC may return.

CL has much more chances of not dropping further than SCC has if it returns next season
I'm sure CL will not drop a lot next week, but that's still not enough

I agree.

Man, those must have been some great parties on the Gilligan's Island set. Bob Denver was in his mid-60's the last time he was busted for pot.

I don't know -- I would have expected a bigger drop once it left its post-Idol slot. Since it survived that move fairly well, I don't necessarily think its going to have a dramatic drop all of a sudden. But of course, one can never underestimate the combined double whammy of DWTS and 2.5 Men.

TV's "All-Star" break is over, starting next week, so we can start seeing the REAL schedules back in action.

TV's "All-Star" break is over,

Since most of the big shows were out due to the strike, wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it the "No-Star" break? Big Grin

So, just for the sake of argument, would CANTERURY LAW have done better on other nets?

CBS and CW - no

ABC - highly unlikely, tone too different

NBC - somewhat likely given recent history of several female slanters

TNT - by TNT's standards, no

USA - no

LIFETIME - better than some but no ARMY WIVES type of ratings

FX - slightly in that direction but not as edgy nor different enough

This is not to excuse the ratings, just food for thought.

And that noise you just heard was everyone from the Celebrity Apprentice crashing down to earth.

And to re-iterate, the weekly reporting was a choice made by the network to more accurately capture out-of-daypart viewing of its primetime schedule. I don't think it was because they "only paid Nielsen" any lesser amount of money.
I would think that MNTV was ripped off if they were paying the same amount of money for ratings reports before March of 2007 when they decided that they wanted the daily data.

Yeah, that shows name should more appropriately be called the "Who's That Again? Apprentice"

Actually I think it could have done better on CBS. Possibly 10pm on tuesday ala Judging Amy. Probably would draw 9-11 million but still skew older so low to mid 2's in the 18-49.

Definite 'no stars' there. I'm not sure we can claim that next week is the end of the WGA effects since it will really just be a few of the CBS shows that are back. The real 'end' is when all the networks are back with their 'normal' first run programming.

During an All-Star break, you have no real games going on. Just an exhabition and lots of off days.

I'd like to believe this were true, but I would stop short of saying "very" compatible.

I see two very different types of entertainment with these two.
