Does MNTV pay Nielsen for overnight numbers? I know they show up for finals, but I'm not sure they have enough money to pay for overnight numbers. Remember, only a year or so ago MNTV wasn't paying for any daily numbers, only weekly, which they then selectively released to spin only their highlights.
I don't think that MyNetworkTV's choices in reporting of its Nielsens has ever had anything to do with lack of money as your reply suggests.
Last season, travisyanan was reporting occasional MNT overnight numbers, and this year I think lostinratings has reported them once or twice too. A few times as well, I seem to remember Marc may have mentioned MyNetworkTV (and ION too) as part of his Programming Insider overnight metered market numbers. So they are and always have been part of overnight reporting, which is a roll-up of major metered markets.
I believe Marc has told us before that his FAST national numbers are supplied by one of the networks. Whichever network supplies him obviously doesn't bother to include MyNetworkTV, so he in turn isn't able to report them either.
And as for last seasons fall and winter weekly reporting of MyNetworkTV numbers, the reason that MNT opted for weekly reporting was that so many of their initial affiliate arrangements called for showing their primetime programming out of primetime hours (i.e. latenight stripping of the telenovellas and I think a few cases where they were stripped the day after in daytime). Since these out-of-daypart numbers are not reported in overnight or FAST national numbers (but are factored into weekly numbers), MyNetworkTV opted to have weekly reporting of its numbers in much the same way Nielsen rolls up and reports syndicated programming. Then, in March 2007, with their changeover in programming from telenovellas to more mixed fare, MyNetworkTV opted to change their reporting to nightly as is the case with the other broadcast networks.
We would have missed out on many great Will & Grace episodes if that were the case. I'm not a Britney fan, but if this stunt gets people to watch the show, I am all for it. And I'm not joking either.

I feel that HIMYM and BBT are the only two comedies on the air right now that could beak out and become mass-appealing shows.

I wonder how Christine would do after a funny show like Big Bang instead of overrated nonsense like HIMYM.
HIMYM is the funnier show. That aside, the 8pm and 8:30pm CBS Monday comedy timeslots are not going to perform up to the 9:30pm timeslot until 2&1/2men dies off. Right now, 2&1/2Men carries whatever show is on after it because such a sizeable percentage of CBS viewers are 'too lazy' to change the channel.
A show that guest stars Britney Spears should be canceled immediately. And i'm not joking

Given that she has quite a bit of acting experience, your 'not joking' commetn makes little sense. Is your claim that people with troubled pasts (or current mental problems) should not be able to get jobs in the entertainment field? If so, shows like '24' and '30 Rock' should be cancelled, as well, right? In fact, I'm guessing most TV shows have one or more mentally unstable people writing or acting on them (almost a prerequisite for Hollywood).
Have you heard that My Name is Earl will guest star Paris Hilton?
Don't forget MIT. Anne Heche was crazy before crazy was cool!

No, that demo is lower than their usual programming. Perhaps NBC would love it. Heck, its about 2-3 million above the average of most of their current shows (FNL, LV, 30R, Srubs, etc...)

God, i hate the demos
NA still has a chance with the 2.5 and since it held its viewers close to Thursday's post-Idol episode. But CL's numbers don't belong on FOX -- perhaps CBS might be interested in it...

Thank you for clarifying the date before which MNTV did not have daily ratings info released. So, until about a year ago, the data didn't come out for MNTV's overnight numbers because they only paid Nielsen for use of weekly summation data.

The absurd demo number is bad for FOX. Unfortunately they care little about the number of viewers

At least Paris Hilton does not have kids that she treats like garbage (and yeah i know Britney is not the only one in showbiz doing that) And i have nothing against individuals with mental problems (i have a person like that in my family), but Spears has nothing of those. Just too much money and too little brain
That's a ridiculous, absurd, and blatantly wrong comment. She has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and is receiving medical treatment for it. That's not a laughing matter.

Wow. Horrible demos for almost everything. New Amsterdam kept a fair amount of viewers from it's last episode considering it went from having a 20+ mil lead in to just 7. It's not done dropping yet though. Next week it'll be down to 7 mil also. 1 week til the return of The Big Bang Theory! Yay!

Diagnosed by who? By Dr. Phil and other celebreties facilities. Send her to serious doctors, and we'll talk after that
Fox legal drama Canterbury’s Law (headlined by the riveting Julianna Margulies) got off to an older skewing start, with 7.62 million viewers (#2) and a fourth-place 1.7 rating/5 share among adults 18-49 (#4). One year earlier, a repeat of House averaged 9.69 million viewers and a 3.5/10 in the demo. Needless to say, this is a very bad start for Canterbury’s Law.
WOW! What a difference the demo numbers can make -- CL went from promising to loser in one fell swoop! That 1.8 is very low, especially for a FOX show with a decent size audience!
As from the hostile witness on the stand last night, Miss Elizabeth Canterbury received a punch in the face this morning from the A18-49s. Last spring, Drive opened to 2.6, went to 2.3 and then 1.8 before FOX put it in neutral, so I have faintest hopes that this series survives its full 5-episode run.
Sad to say because the opener was captivating television, and reminded me much of The Practice. Perhaps word-of-mouth might give this series a week two lift in young adult numbers.
And the moody, mysterious New Amsterdam was quite compelling last night as well. Glad to see that it held quite a sizeable portion of its audience from last week.
Although i did not see CL, from what I hear about yesterday's episode, I'm glad I didn't. It sounds like another stereotypical overdramatized legal show where what happens in the TV court room isn't very close at all as to what you can do and what happens in real life court.
Well its easy to state two Friday shows in that post. NA would be lucky probably to do as well as them on Fridays. Scubs on the other hand...
