To me it depends on why they are using the crossover Thought the CSIs over the years have had some great crossovers. The Las Vegas Crossing Jordan ones were fun and easy combining two harmless shows for fun. But when it's simply to attract viewers like Grey's/Practice then yes I feel cheated. Same way I would feel cheated if some of the Heroes ended up in the emergency room on ER
I haven't had the luxury of seing more than just the ads for The Unusals and the reviews but am I correct that it's sort of like a more tame version of Rescue Me? I think it looks interesting. It's a shame it follows a show which historically has not elevated any show in the ratings on Wed nights.

The Grey's/PP feels more "authentic" seeing how PP was a spinoff. I miss the days of the NBC saturday night Golden Girls/Empty Nest/Nurses hurricane night in Florida crossovers.

The CSI:MIAMI and CSI:NY crossover that introduced the latter may have been NY's best episode, and I'm not trying to be funny.
The ep had an extremely dark, scary feel to it that was never, in my view, duplicated or built upon by the NY series. It raised expectations which were not met in the first year by NY when it did ok but was viewed as somewhat problematic quality wise even by Anthony Zuiker.

At least Miami is somewhat comical in how bad it is. NY just sucks.

Last night's Kath & Kim was amazing. I mean, to put together an entire 30 minute sitcom and not have a single funny (or even amusing) moment can't be easy. But they pulled it off last night. And Maya Rudolph is the perfect guest star for that show, because it relies so heavily on Rudolph's theory that unfunny lines become funny if said in a goofy voice with a goofy look on your face. And their faith in this theory is admirable considering how many times it's been proven false.

You make it too easy for me to agree with you. Bash a crime a dime CBS drama and I'm on board.
OMG Maya Rudolph was on it? She can make anything unfunny.
