I hardly watch network TV anymore... and if Marc's numbers are correct for yesterday night, soon I won't at all. What horrible ratings for Terminator and Chuck, although both were great.

What on Earth are you babbling about? Just, most shows on network TV suck now. 'Lost' getting 6 seasons of mediocrity is just one example.

I was going to ask you the same question, since you're actually playing the "I won't watch that network if they cancel my show" card. Which all networks know is a bluff, btw.

Including most of the ones you watch--absolutely right. So why do you watch them?

Well I just meant most of my favorite shows are on cable these days (Mad Men, BSG, Burn Notice...), and the few shows on network TV I do enjoy (30 Rock, Chuck...) are all threatened by low low ratings.
I'm not sure what happened; a few years ago Seinfeld and Friends were both my favorite series and ratings juggernauts.
Oh well, I will still have House! (unless the parasite 'Fringe' really kills it)

I really liked BN's first season, but there have been definite signs of slippage in the second. Still fun to watch, though. Mad Men is a bit of a chore lately, and BSG--well, hopefully they'll finally focus, now that it's ending. I was so high on that show when it started, but such a disappointment at times. I blame Jane Espenson.

Z, maybe you just have to face the fact that TV is not about pandering to the tastes of a few scattered individuals. None of those shows has anything important to say, or says it in a remotely original manner.

You were watching FRIENDS a few years ago? Like the last few seasons? Ewwwwwwwww!

NBC has given a full-season order to "Knight Rider." Decision late Monday repped the Peacock's first back nine pickup this season. Sister Universal Media Studios is the producer.
"Knight Rider's" pickup wasn't a foregone conclusion. An update of the famed 1980s series, the new "Knight Rider" began as a highly-rated TV movie last season, but hasn't fared as well since returning as a regular series.
David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gary Scott Thompson exec produce "Knight Rider." Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Bruce Davison star.
Still waiting for Marc to post last night's ratings--in the meantime, Zap2it says PD got a 3.1 HH--one percentage point higher than Gossip Girl. Medialife says it got a 2.1 in the demo--1.4 for Gossip Girl.
Those were terrible numbers for Tar. I will try and get a listing of how on Sundays TAR has done with 15, 30 and 45 minute overruns for easy comparison.
