Good to see Survivor beat out football overall. Not bad for a show running in a 'one off' timeslot and expecting a 2-3hour commitment from the viewers.
The NFL may need to rethink about its Primetime Games.
MNF needs to be on a Broadcast Network, with sundays nights back on ESPN.
Last nights game would have gotten a couple 3 million more viewers if it had jsut been on MNF, on NBC.
By the time the Sunday Night game is on, most HOMES are only tuned into the game if its a good matchup. Where as MNF will get more casual viewers to tune in.
ESPN's numbers are roughly the same for either night.
Usually don't comeout until later today or early Tuesday, depending if the Nielsen system is not breaking down at anytime (as has happened the last few weeks.)

I'm looking forward to Survivor's 16th season! Wow! Just wondering what "fan favorites" everyone here would like to see back. I think James from China is a shoo-in. Think they will go all the way back to season 1? Should be fun!

Concerning Survivor, I liked Denise until this episode. Not only did she fail to convince Amanda to keep her around, but she actually argued against herself, telling Amanda that the jury would sympathize with her. (She SHOULD have said, "Hey, those people on the jury don't have anything in common with me. They're all young and I didn't form connections with them. They'll vote to give you a million dollars, Amanda." Duh.) Then, on the jury, she launched into all this bitterness. Guh?
And what the hell happened to Amanda at that final tribal council? She could've won, but her powers of persuasion totally abandoned her. Did she get sick on day 39 or something? She should've played up her subtle strategizing and claimed her role as true mastermind (or as much of a mastermind as the game had, which isn't saying much), instead of trying to be friends with everybody. She changed the game when it mattered. But Todd had better jury skills (?!) and almost stumbled backwards into a victory. (What kind of an idiot *gives away* a hidden immunity idol to somebody ELSE?! Moron! And then Amanda saved his ass by organizing the ouster of James.)
How did I get sucked back into watching this reality garbage? I feel dirty.

I was wondering the same thing! I think it would only be fair to go back as far as the Survivor after All-Stars, minus Stephanie and Bobby Jon who already had a second shot.

If you believe the numbers (the differences are probably within the margin of error) then Survivor went down by 147,000 viewers, but up .2 in the demo from 9:00 to 9:30. So maybe Denise did have considerable non-demo fans.
Last week it looked like the writer's strike could go on forever, with both sides again sniping publicly at one another.
That all changed over the weekend. Now it's looking like the strike could be settled by January, if not sooner.
Everything is again back in play, but the action has moved beyond the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, and it's being led by other cooler heads in their exasperation over the collapse of negotiations.
Key is a move, announced over the weekend, by David Letterman to strike an independent deal with the WGA to spring his writers and get his show back on the air.

What? And have Mark Burnett miss another chance at having Boston Rob back on?

I think the only "shoo-in" for this Half-All-Star Survivor (half ASS?) would be Yao-Man from Fuji. Everyone still smarts at how 'Dreamz' took the truck and then screwed him over.
