NBC's got to be pretty happy. Ticked down just one tenth from last week. Looks like Bionic/Life both stabilized in a big way, unless Deal somehow spiked.

I was also predicting a 20% drop.

If that percentage hold true for Finals, then Pushing Daisies will go from 13.03 million viewers to 10.29 million.

That's not a terrible situation...yet. I still love the show and see it as this year's Ugly Betty, which will become a modest hit over time.

agreed...8 p.m. drama “Pushing Daisies,” which slipped from a 4.2 in its premiere to a 3.6 last night. “Daisies” still won the timeslot and it did not lose any 18-49 audience from its first half hour to its second. (from mrdialife)

It's not terrible for PD but it needs to stabilize some in week 3.

CDub's the only network up week-to-week. Is it the Gossip Girl rebound continuing, or is it people leaving Daisies to return to Top Model?

As someone who enjoyed the pilot and all its... eccentricity... I have to say that last night's episode sucked. Instead of merely hitting sugary sweet notes, it gave me diabetes. The detective work, if it can so be called, was poorly done and the "flashback exposition with twee narration" tiresome.

And this is the result of massive overspending and reshooting.

I shudder to think of what next week brings.

Or it will become one of those shows that the audience abandons over the mid winter hiatus or like JERICHO last year or during extensive reruns if no outright hiatus..

Different situation than Cane though in that its holding in the younger demos. Cane's situation is more desperate because its so older skewing.

Not sure what % of Tivo is in the DVR world... but interesting tidbit from their PR today...

"What is extremely interesting is that with the exception of sports programs nearly two-thirds of all viewing during premiere week was done on a Time-shifted basis," said Todd Juenger, Vice President & General Manager, TiVo Audience Research & Measurement. "The high amount of time-shifting viewing highlights the importance of not simply measuring a program's success based on overnight ratings. Instead, it's critical to also factor in time-shifting viewing, considering it represented two-thirds of the audience for most of these programs."
