I was a big "Beauty and the Geek" fan for its first 3 seasons but I know why this fourth season has gone down in the ratings - it's up against tough competition. There was "Dancing With The Stars" and "Biggest Loser" on Tuesday 8pm when the season started 3 weeks ago and now, even though DWTS is not on at that time slot, I feel it's too late to get into the flow of the show.

Marc, I think you were being too kind to "Reaper" - the show smells like it hit a Whammy in the ratings department to me.

Look out! LOOK OUT!

As for some criticism of the political agenda on "Boston Legal", have you seen previous episodes of the series? David E. Kelley has done this before and it fits into the show real well. It is, after all, a show about law so topics concerning politics and religion can be explored on such a show. Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of "Boston Legal" so perhaps I'm biased but again, I see no problem with the agendas expressed and how they are expressed, which are not so in-your-face.

You can all come to the TV Talk chat room now if you'd like

himymfan22, please access the Survivor game - your vote has to be in before tonight at 8pm!

Holding second to NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" in the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Boston Legal" defeated CBS' "Cane" by 1.9 million viewers (11.0 million vs. 9.1 million) and by 22% in Adults 18-49 (2.8/8 vs. 2.3/7).

Growing its audience for its second consecutive telecast since its season premiere, "Boston Legal" generated the series' biggest audience on the night in over 1 year since 9/19/06.

Are these numbers from finals? The Cane demo number is an even bigger drop than marc reported.

Thanks Travis. Do you think that skewing old makes Life is Wild more valuable to CW (they need to reach a broader audience) or less valuable (it doesn't fit their 'target demo')?

Those nicknames for shows aren't funny. Not to mention the one that you named for Kid Nation is extremely offensive. Humor is not your strong suit at all.

Less valuable. Would be okay if it had 10x the viewer levels (then it would be doing around what NCIS does). But, um, no. This is a bad show oin a bad timeslot with no value and if it gets any more plan than Runaway did last season I'll frankly be surprise.

How did it become the symbol of the decline of western civilization? No worse than a bunch of other stuff. Better than some. Get over yourselves.

The CW's Reaper was classic last night. The storyline was much better than week two. Here's to it going back to growing out of lead in B&tG, which deserves kudos for growing week to week by a solid margin. I think as people tire of the NBC block and ABC's wretched comedies it may grow into the mid-3 million viewer level. That would probably warrant a new season.

Don't hold your breath on that. Too bad Reaper was boring as hell last week. Comedies are very much "what have you done for me lately?" Reaper wasn't that good last night. Not good enough to be moved to CBS anyway.

Sounds like a new frontrunner for first cancellation on CW. Ah well, just as spring was starting.
