I expect Pushing Daisies to lose 15-20% from the premiere. Half of that drop will be from people that didn't like the 'different' and won't return and half of that drop will be from the people that are now so addicted that they will watch it early instead.

According to Futon Critic, things aren't looking good for Cane. This is what Futon Critic had as it's Tuesday ratings headline:

Plus: CBS's "Cane" falls behind the short-lived "Smith" in adults 18-49.

any chance that we can see Reaper move to CW's sister network -- CBS? If CBS is really after younger viewers, this should be the show. It's just such a shame that more people are not watching it on the CW.

I was an early adopter for Twin Peaks, The X-Files, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And I regularly enjoy movies and books that make even the the most offbeat TV show look conventional and staid. I think I can handle 'different'. What I can't handle is 'dumb pretending to be different.' Which is why I'm not watching Pushing Daisies.

I am, however, watching The Office repeats on Saturday, even though I've already watched the episodes on Thursday.

The truly addicted are not so easy to lose. And most people don't even have the option of watching it early, or if they do, they either don't know about it, or don't want to take advantage of it, because watching TV on a computer SUCKS. That isn't going to be any kind of major factor here.

I would say no. Reaper isn't pulling in the numbers to compete with the ratings other CBS shows gather. The only slot in which it would work would be on Fridays and the only shaky spot in that lineup is Moonlight.

I would agree with 15-20% drop, but I highly doubt a large portion of that is going to be due to finding it only early... More than likely 99% of it will be due to overhype or the different/quirky/pretentious/whatever not being most viewers' cup of tea.

Ok may be another stupid question on my part but this is possible? IF so, why not have the CBS comedies encore on the CW either Sat or Sun? OR if for some reason Moonlight doesn't make it (oh what a sad day that would be for me) switch try it out on the CW before holding it for midseason or internet viewing.. Think of the "buzz" of a major network show moving the the CW, how many people's response would be what the hell is the CW? What am I missing?

Holding second to NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" in the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Boston Legal" defeated CBS' "Cane" by 1.9 million viewers (11.0 million vs. 9.1 million) and by 22% in Adults 18-49 (2.8/8 vs. 2.3/7).

Growing its audience for its second consecutive telecast since its season premiere, "Boston Legal" generated the series' biggest audience on the night in over 1 year since 9/19/06.

Reality?

Try to see this from CBS' POV. This is a show that is doing poorly on CW. Why would they want the stink of a CW failure all over Bill Paley's network?

The last thing CBS wants right now is for anyone to associate it with CW.
