Oh, come on! You have got to be kidding me?

House is the 5th highest rated show in total viewers and the 2nd highest rated program among adults 18-49. Due to American Idol and Super Bowl exposure House will most likely be this seasons highest rated TV show in total viewers and in the demo behind AI perfomance show and AI results show Eeker. If that isn't enough to make House a mega-hit in your eyes...

He will still be joining the show, but in a different and more quirkier role.

Kid Nation will probably last the season; according ot the New Yor Times, it's advertising has tripled from the premiere..

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/08/business/media/08kidnation.html

The followin excerpt from the article is a good example wht the 18-49 demo is not the "End All, Be all" ratings statistic.

The lone bright spot in viewership has been among children. The number of 2- to 11-year-olds watching “Kid Nation” rose to an estimated 787,000 in the third week from 777,000 for the series premiere.

A McDonald’s executive said Friday that the company had decided to advertise on the show after finding that its content fit the company’s family-friendly message.

Wow! That's great news about KID NATION!

So now that the critic's hype for PUSHING DAISIES got the show a good sampling this week...will it implode by 20% tonight?

Well... you are getting a bit cranky lately. You need to stop hanging out with Obveeus.

The TV season is 2 1/2 weeks behind us now, and I am not sure that Marc has listed a single CBS show as a loser. (I am not sure about this, I would have to go back and check.) Yet CBS is in 3rd place in the all important 18-49 ratings. It just does not add up.

But I know that my ranting has gotten old, so I will stop "complaining" and take the "analysis" for what it is worth and keep quiet about it. Smiler

I am not fed up. I just like "fair and balanced" reporting.

Bu the Winners/Losers list in not Reporting, its opinion. An editorial, per say.

Make your own Winners/Losers list and post it here each day. then you will have that balance.

How about NBC do this on Tuesdays:

8PM : 1 vs 100
9PM : Biggest Loser

Biggest Loser is probably a half hour too long and Singing Bee is dragging them down. 1 vs 100 would be good counter programming at 8 against the other networks. How about it?

I wasn't factoring in future rating just what's going on now and how in total viewers it's not that far ahead of NCIS which is not considered much of anything.

Well if that were true, then Caveman would have been canceled after the opening credits.

But odly enough, it wasn't.
Perhaps that the good sign I was looking for. Big Grin

If I could set the schedule any way I wanted it:
I think that Reaper should be moved to Thursday at 9pm. That is the one 'must do' if CW wants to build Reaper going forward.

Supernatural should be moved to Tuesday. The other Tuesday slot need to go to OTH or to Life is Wild. OTH would be the 9pm to SN's 8pm while LiW would be 8pm to SN's 9pm.

B&tG is not strong enough to be a lead-in. Maybe dump it to Sunday between the infomercials and the ANTM encore.

Life is wild can't do any worse in that timeslot and allows both reaper and supernatural to be paired up and in MUCH less crowded "male" timeslots... especially after football is done.

Definitely not a move to make until after football season is over. Even then, the FOX comedies might be strong demo/male competition.

Life is Wild may be CW's oldest skewing show (Travis, any data on that), but I think it should stay in an 8pm timeslot.

No offense, but I don't see Reaper growing on Thursdays if it can't grow on Tuesdays. Weak lead in or not, Reaper has shown to grow out of B&TG, so, not seeing the logic there.
LiW is not even lead-in worthy, so I don't see the logic there either.

OTH can go on at eight and SN at nine, or vice versa, I don't care, if that's what can be paired. But seriously? I don't think Smallville is all that compatible with Reaper. If anything they should put Reaper on Wednesdays, after ANTM. If it's going to grow, that's the best shot.

CBS positive spin will come out Monday afternoon: Viva Laughlin held 95% of its Sunday demo lead-in.

They may be cheaper, but I doubt they repeat, or syndicate well or sell on Dvd, or sell well to foreign markets. So I still think something like Chuck is a better in the long run.

Exactly! Advertisers don't want to waste money reaching people that won't do what the ad tells them to do.

Putting B&TG or any show between Online Nation/CW Now and ANTM encore is killing the show. While B&TG isn't pulling impressive numbers, it's doing as well as the new shows and in some cases, better. The CW has to completely rework Sunday, get rid of the encores, put two shows with two new episodes in it's place and then if they want to keep the CW Now put it at 7 PM and extend it one hour.
